best ECU for half bridgeported 87 turbo 2

i know several forum memebers reccomend the haltech e6k and several have had good results with the e6k and bported cars. but what other options do i have? i want someone who has had good experience with half bridge turbo2s. i figure the haltech would run 1600 including tuning. so anything cheaper would be great. thanks.

I have never run a half bridge on anything, so I'm not aware of any special requirements with respect to this particular type of porting. However, every EMS does basically the same thing, so I don't know why any particular EMS would be better based solely on the porting issue.

The E6K has worked well on RX-7's for years, but it's a bit outdated by today's standards. You may want to look into a Microtech LT8 if you want something cheaper. Since you have indicated that you want somebody else to tune it (a very good idea that seems to escape the majority of people on this forum) then you may want to check around your local area to look for a good package deal that includes the EMS and tuning. If the tuner says he can make it work with your engine, then it is on him to produce the results. I think this is more important than searching for a particular brand or model of EMS.

This forum is rather specialized and technical, so it doesn't get as much traffic as the Lounge or 2Gen forums that you are probably used to.
