To get this power with that amount of fuel flow then the af would need to be closer to 12.4:1 to achieve 730bhp with 3700cc of fuel flow.
These however are all based on what he has said, it is very easy to have BIG differences in EXACT fuel flow rates on specific injectors and hence they could be flowing 10% more than what they are sold as in which case he could make that power with those injectors at the safer af ratio.
Again, it is pushing the limits, but it is achievable and is not an easily see through claim such as made by SR on their web site a while back
Just my clacs and thoughts.

I guess it means the injectors would flow a little more since most injectors are messured at 44 PSI.
That is some precise tuning.:p
Still that SX fuel pump is performing better than most people would believe.

OK, I just went to the web site and found out there is not a plug and play version for the T2. Will it be difficult to set the race version up on a T2? Is it just a matter of building a harness?

I was checking out the K2RD page, specifically the ecu comparisons page, it does not list the E6K as closed loop compatible, like the wolf 3d, is this so?
I wouldn't mind going for the haltech, but I definatley want closed loop operation, does the limited tables of the wolf ever show up as a problem, like stumbles or surges?..
The Aem looks like a good system, unfortunatly its suggested price tag puts it at about 4000.00 bucks in Canada, nice if you can have it, but thats worth more than my car.....Max

Some may say when a car is tuned properly, it does not need O2 sensor close loop
With the Wolf 3D version 3 seems to fall sort in drivability when running large injectors and high boost. Thats why there new 3D version 4 should be wellcomed. This unit will have a much higher resolution and alot of extra features..

I do not believe in plug and play on a 2nd gen RX7 because the air flow meter has to thrown away.(Does it get trown away in a true plug and play?)

seems like the installers do have some reading of tech notes before they can install a plug and play unit. Even in the RX7 2nd gen turboII there are at least two different wiring setups(87-88, & 89-91). You guys have or are doing alot of homework. Could this alone drive your prices up on installs or are your plug and play units user installable?

AEM Plug & Play Group Buy
Here's what I have so far for a GB cost on the new AEM Plug & Play ECU for FDs to be avaialable at the end of January, 2002. Retails for $1869. 4 units would be $1420 + shipping. 5-9 units would be $1345 + shipping. If we get 10 or more we'll find out what more we can save.
Let me know so we can be the first to get this new state-of-the-art ECU at a GREAT price.
Dave at KDR will be my tuner. He will be taking a course on this unit.

With the universal unit is there enough information that comes with it to allow a capable person such as "The Hitman" to install and tune it or do you have to spend more money for information and training?
I have installed and tuned the Haltech IG5, F9A, E6K & the AEM of Aus Wolf 3D by using the manuals and or softwares. Well I probably made a call or two mostly for confirmations on options. I realize the more complex a unit is the more problems you may have with custom installs.
Thanks for your time..

I forgot about the ditching of the AFM, so how does the haltech PnP work? getting rid of the afm though is a good thing....shorter intake tract, no flapper door restriction... I would like to see a car run with all the systems before I lay the smack down for a stand alone, I have only seen a wolf 3d up close and personal, I may have to make a road trip to see some other systems...Max

One more question.
Does your unit have to ability to calibrate inputs such as the map sensor or do you have to select the sensor from a list of choices?

What was your base fuel pressure?
Did you use the wet setup on the RICH side to assist the injectors?

Ok, now I'm interesting in this group buy if it get under the $1500 mark.
I have a question about the self mapping. How accurate is this? Is it so good that I wouldn't worry about dyno tuning? How does it work? You just enter in the a/f by rmp and it controls the fuel and spark to meet the needs?
I've never delt with a self tuning computer so I'm not sure how it works.....could you give just a general idea of how it would be used everyday and how accurate it is? I'm sure you guys have dyno tested the self mapping to see how accurate it is. Will it map for any set up? If I upgraded to a big single down the road will it remap on its own real easy or what?
Jason, thanks for all the input.
Later,
STEPHEN
