Any Turbo II's Squirted?

I've had my MegaSquirt built for a few months now. I haven't had time to install it yet though.

I haven't seen much info on 13bt's with MS. Will there be any significant differences?

I think I'm going to run the stock ECU for Ign. and ms for fuel. What is the avg install time and would I need to have it tuned imediatly, or could I just run a basically stock map (barring I can find values for one)?

Can I just splice the factory harness or should I run new wires?

This is for a 87 TII BTW I don't really know what else to ask currently. Just wanting to know what I'll be running into.

any info would be appreciated

Thanx

You won't need to actuate the VDI or aux ports... so it's actually a bit more simple than an NA

In the next few days, I'm going to finish the code I'm working on to make megasquirt handle rotary trailing ignition. It already handles leading with no problems. I'd suggest using megasquirt for ignition ... maybe tune fuel first, then add ignition after fuel is tuned. There are some megasquirt hardware mods necessary to do ignition as well.

make sure you either get a flyback board, or leave in the stock resistor pack... you have low impedance injectors if I'm not mistaken. Also, even if you're not going to do ignition immediately, get msns-extra. The 12x12 fuel table alone makes it worth the upgrade.... I'd also recommend getting a wideband O2 unit and using the afr target table (it's a table that lets you set what AFR you want at each point...). It will make tuning a lot more accurate and a lot easier.

Yeh I noticed the threads about ign. last I read there was a need to modify the wheel. Does that sitll hold true? I try to follow the threads on msefi forum but get confused on were one thread leaves off and the next one starts.

yeh I knew about the injectors and plan to get a WB. can I get it started without a wideband? or should I just wait.

Thanks

You can start w/o a wideband, but I'd definitely get one for a turbo car...

There is no need to modify anything but the megasquirt to do ignition... The stock CAS works as long as you configure the megasquirt properly and use the proper hardware mods.

I'll be porting msns-extra features to ms2 as soon as I can buy an ms2 daughtercard... (as soon as they come out again)

The ms1 chip with msns-extra will work fine with the v3 pcb.
