Hello all,
Im currenty working on a device that will "hopefully" allow me to replace the Flapper styled AFM from my Mazda RX-7 with a MAP sensor, who just so happends to be the same as the Toyotas, and some other Mazdas. If any one has the same problem im having where the signal from the AFM is reversed from the MAP sensor.
I will let everyone know if this works and i will have it available for sale once its ready. I will keep everyone posted.
Also, anyone here heard of the Perfect Power SMT6 piggyback unit? it allows you to modify fuel and timing almost all cars with an electronically controled fuel injection system. And it works on RX-7s too. I my self am currently ironing out the tuning on my FC, i will keep this post updated with information an results. If anybody is interested in a GROUP BUY, please email me with your details.
Also, please visit my website for more information, specially the SMT6 FAQ section.

Later,
If you can actually make an affordable airflow meter replacement device, you'll make a fortune. The problem is the output is non-linear, and it reacts oddly to airflow - hard to reproduce with a MAP sensor.
But, if you can pull it off, and have it made cheap, you'll do well.
BTW, the SMT6 seems kinda neat, but it would have a hard time against the Greddy E-manage. The E-manage is about as advanced as a piggyback can get.

Well, how much does the Emanage cost anyway, cause this little piggyback does A LOT!, ignition tuning, fuel tuning, additional injection control, activation switch for NOS, vtec, vvti. Also, there has been development of different functions that werent intended originally, like boost control, rev limiter removal, and even working as a stand alone. Not to mention the fact that this is a universal piggyback, not bound by make or model.
All that for less than 400 bucks, now that is something.
Let me know,

The main E-manage unit starts at $300, and you can add a HUGE range of functionality from there. Ignition harness to control ignition timing, fuel injection harness to control additional injectors and directly add pulsewidth to stock injectors, 16x16 tuning maps for airflow, ignition, additional injectors, and additional pulsewidth maps. Things start getting interesting when you add the E-01 boost controller - you can input/log/modify multiple analog inputs, log pulse-based inputs, datalog output from Greddy gauges, tune the E-manage on the E-01's screen...it's a helluva system.

And, it's well supported and documented, and has been reguarly updated by Greddy.

The SMT6 does all that right from the factory, and its less expensive than the e-manage. The only thing i see that is better is the tuning resolution, which is 16x16, where the SMT6 is just 8 load points by 16 RPM points.
And it can also do boost control, additional injection and switch activation via preset parameters.
1 price, 1 package, no hassle, all in 1 little box, it isnt as pretty as the e-manage ill give you that, but i sure does the job. Oh, and if you look at the total price for a complete e-manage package including the E-01 controller, both fuel and ignition harnesses, the price is over 800 bucks! The SMT is a 1 time price of 350. And Perfect Power also updates their software and manuals regularly and you can download them for free from their site.
