AFC or piggyback?
AFC or piggyback?
I just want some input on the best bang for the buck for fuel control. Is a piggyback worth the extra $? Or will an APEXi neo be just fine? My car is an 91 NA. May be streetporting it. P.S. I will need to pass smog if that matters on which one would be better for me.
OK, what I meant by piggyback was something like the emanage by greedy. So is there much advantage to emanage than APEXi? I'm aware it depends how much I want to spend so lets say under $600. I don't want a standalone and can't afford it. What is going to produce the best performance gains for the money? $ to HP? I have searched here to no avail. Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks to all.
Just wanted to mention how great this site is in comparision to some others. Alot of BS on other sites. Very informative here.

My friend runs a AFC Neo on his KA-T (or the MEOWZER as I call it). It seems to function just grand with his upgraded injectors. The eManage is super ultra over the top fuel control, but really doesn't run that much($$$-wise). If you do some snooping you might be able to score a Haltech E6K for around $600 (used), and then you'd have a stand-alone. But for streetporting (a turbo I'd imagine) I'd probably stick with an AFC (2 or Neo, one is shiny and colorful, the other one is boring). But with a stock fuel pump and fuel injectors it's not really neccessary. If you upgrade the pump and injectors, though, it becomes required to keep a reign on the system.
