AEM ='s Wolf?
AEM ='s Wolf?
I was told by a reputable import shop (to rename nameless) that the new AEM is a worked over Wolf system.
Anyone know if this is true?
I thought it was strange since the US Wolf site is no longer: http://www.wolfems.com/
I'll admit I stopped following the AEM ecu thread after the 4th delay and the 4000'th message, so I apologize if this has been covered.

They are both made by "AEM", but one is one is Advanced Engine Management, Inc., California, USA, and the other company is Advanced Engine Management P/L, of Melbourne, AUS.
It's possible that they share some parts like VCR's, TV's, stereos, etc., but I don't see any operational resemblance:
The Wolf has rpm-based boost control, the AEM doesn't.
The Wolf has memory cartridges and a hand controller, the AEM doesn't.
The Wolf can run a 12-cylinder, the AEM can only run up to a 10-cylinder.
The AEM has onboard datalogging, the Wolf doesn't.
The AEM has knock sensing, the Wolf doesn't.
etc, etc, etc.
Here are the two web sites:
