Wtf? Go outside the box? The drifting culture in america just rips off the japanese drift culture. Drifting with a clean unmolested car would be "thinking outside of the box."

Maybe we should just start going into the drag race section and start flaming about wasting great handling cars to just go in a straight line.

I'll double it. I can understand "mad camber" but what gives with the body kits?

That sucks, you should have stayed in school and gotten a real job. Then maybe you could afford some real wheels. But I digress, you've probably heard this a thousand times by now.

Because stock body usually looks stupid. And getting decent airflow over oil coolers/intercoolers/radiators while sideways needs bigger openings.

Complete bullshit. If your bodykit isn't ducted it's not doing **** for airflow. Besides, 99% of drifters don't even upgrade let alone relocate oil coolers and radiators to take advantage of these larger openings.

Drag racers find ways to go as fast as possible in a straight line... while you use the slowest method to navigate a corner? Your tired "straight line" argument seems pretty ridiculous to me, especially if you go and compare the caliber of projects in the drag section vs this section.

You're arguing with someone that probably at one point or another drove a honda civic delsol. A car for fat chicks and **** that isn't quite a grocery getter because there is no room for groceries.

That's a rally car you **** nut, we are talking about dry pavement. Countersteer scrubs speed and is most definitely not the fastest way around a turn. You're fighting a battle you can't win boy.

And if you ventured into the fabrication section of this forum you would understand how stupid that statement just made you look.

No he didn't. You are just too busy sucking all the drift dick you can get your hands on that you don't even know what you typed.

Just goes to show your general lack of knowledge of vehicle dynamics under different racing conditions...

And yes, I did have a Del Sol. It was bright green and even had one of those rainbow pinstripes on the back window when my dad bought it wrecked for me to fix up. I put green LED windshield sprayer lights on it; it probably would have been right at home here in the drifting section. Luckily, I've learned a few things since those days...

I still don't understand how all of those things relate to having an unefficient body kits that don't even give you any down force.

You're just a dumbass.

Last I checked rallying is still a sport based on speed, and I also see an awful lot of pavement, more so than most wrc races even.

As far as the CAR goes, nope, not a rally car.

Read before you speak maybe?

You don't even need to read. Just look at the first picture, I see millens genesis in the dirt of pikes peak, I also see a formula D window banner.

And I can also read this

Just FYI, on gravel/dirt you get more traction at a higher slip angle then on tarmac... but only to a point. When you slide in rally, its all about balance. You don't want to be too far out, or so slow you're not out enough.

With that said, good try though. On pavement, its WAY slow. Especially the MORE sideways (READ: Better "drift") you are.

And with that all said.

Rally>Drift

I don't think I said anything about downforce. I said airflow... even without crazy ducting, even though most competitive drift cars have at least some kind decent ducting.

And thats the last you'll be hearing from me, I've got better things to do than argue with you stubborn bastards, who obviously have nothing better to do with your days than bitch about the noisy people. Obviously none of the stuff in this section is your style, so maybe just stay out of here and save your breath.

It's a professionally prepped race car (a far cry from the original subject of this thread I might add), a few suspension/alignment adjustments and a set of rally tires, no reason why it couldn't compete on a smooth rally course like Pikes Peak. Of course, you can't forget that he was a professional rally driver before he did the drifting thing.
