Work Equips or VSXX

So im stuck between getting some Work Equips or Work VSXX... The equips are 18x9.5 -27 ZOMG!!! and 18x12 -5 in super chrome and have gold bolts. the vsxx are 18x8 +35 FAIL!!! and 18x9 +38 Double FAIL (Can get custom barrels from Work at an alright price). Right now i have Work VSXX super chrome in 17x8.5 +20 and 17x9.5 +35 . i love the mesh but equips are dope.

what do you guys think?????

yea i have VSXX already but the sizes and offsets suck. Work discontinued the 17" VSXX, so its either get the wack sized Extreme Gold VSXX and have custom Work barrels made, shipped, installed Or get the discontinued Equips

I think that you should wait till you can find a set that has the right size/offset to fit your car... Maybe the negative offset is all the hype... but you also have to be realistic about putting them on your car...

I'm sure some ****** on here is going to say that's lame, but seriously, get some wheels that make sense... And don't buy those high offset wheels...

There are a lot of options out there... so wait for the right set... And I'd recommend going to a 17/18 stagger, if you are planning on running any kind of spindle/angle kits...

those equips sound like some that were on a car that went into a wall real hard at irwindale back in 07 or so.

like dave said you should wait and find something that's better sizing for the car. and i agree fully with going 17/18 stagger for better angle and handling. if you run 18's in the front you'll find yourself rubbing a lot if you try and get big angle.

Clearance for 18's wouldnt be an issue. front end is getting tubbed, maybe a tube frame front end.

i need low offsets to keep from hitting the lca. my angle mods are very aggressive. and i need the 12's because i plan on running 265's with my new turbo

-27 up front and your car will look worse than dkwasherjeifwoh's car.

my car with -6 and 205 up front will barely clear the b-magic 20mm over fenders. adding another inch to that sounds insane to me.

i understand the style you're going for.. but i don't think you're taking into consideration all things. with running that low of offset in the front you're not going to run into hitting the lca but there's a good chance you'll run into hitting the front and back of the outer fenders (where the bumper and sideskirts meet) when you try and turn. but to each their own, sometimes you need to go wild and then turn it back a notch, or maybe you don't. in the end you'll do what you want, and i'm sure it will look amazing. i just hope it drives as well as it looks.

You are also going to drastically change the scrub radius of the car.

i have 30 mm dmax fenders so and about -6* or -8* camber so it will fit fenders when straight but full lock might be an issue.

right now i have a set of FN01RC 17x10 +25 (-12) with a 37mm spacer and it fits fine with that camber, ive actually got about an inch or more room from fender. even when fully countersteered it has plenty of clearance.

scrub radius has been affected but i like how it reacts even without powersteering. it feels solid.

now the 17x10s -12 could be seen as have 5.5inches from mounting on hub and 4.5 inches backspace from mounting on hub.

the 18x9.5 -27 are 5.75 inches from mounting hub and 3.75 inches backspace from hub.

LOL i can get a 17x8.5 -12 with a 215/40 to fit a stock fender, tucking tire...

the key is camber.

Anyways i got the Equips and they fit...

Perfectly. just some minor hammering and some heat gun to prevent paint cracks in the engine bay. The even fit Full Lock with angle mods...

ill have pics posted tomorrow

so what do you think about msports 50mm? i think thats what i want... or get some 50mm dmax for cheap.
