Drift Meet/Pre-Tech Inspection at "Volcano Grill"
Tuesday June 22nd 2010

Features
* Beginner Skidpad Area (Donuts/Figure Eights)
* 1 Beginner/Intermediate Skill building Course
* 1 Intermediate/Advanced w/Tandem Competition Style Course
* Ride Alongs will be allowed after 9pm

Registration will include
* 1 Pit Crew member entry
* 1 Support Vehicle Pit Pass
* Personalized instruction (must request this in the registration for or at the mandatory drivers meeting)

Vegasdrift 019 Schedule:
4:30pm – Gates Open
4:30pm – 5:30pm – Tech Inspection
5:30pm – 5:45pm – Mandatory Drivers Meeting
5:45pm – 6:00pm – Course Walk Through

All Vehicles must pass a Technical/Safety inspection – The Inspection Sheet can be downloaded HERE It’s the Drivers Responsibility to make sure their vehicle is track ready. Please use the Inspection Tech Sheet as a reference of items that we will be looking for during our inspection. Common tech problems that cause vehicles to fail, are cracked windshields, improperly tied down batteries, belted tires, or any type of fluid leaks. Vehicles that fail the tech inspection won’t be allowed to run until the repairs have been verified by the Chief Steward. In the event that a vehicle does not continue to meet LVMS/Vegasdrift Safety/Technical standards through out the day, the Chief Steward will be forced to pit the vehicle. Driver Safety Equipment: All Drivers must wear long pants and closed toe shoes and at least a Snell 2000 rated helmet to participate. Dot Certified helmets will not pass Tech Inspection

Vehicles equipped with roll cages w/doorbars are permitted to tandem. However must meet the following requirements.
* Roll Caged Vehicles will be required to have the proper SFI Padding in the areas of the cage that are near the drivers head and arms.
* A 2.5 lbs Fire Extinguisher mounted with in arms reach.
* No Passengers allowed during tandem practice.

Passenger Ride Alongs :Allowed after 9pm. All passengers wear long pants and closed toe shoes and have their own Snell 2000 or better rated helmet. Drivers and passengers must keep their hands inside the vehicle at all times while on the track. Drivers are responsible for the conduct of their passengers. If an unsafe incident occurs due to a passenger distracting the driver or touching the vehicle controls, the driver will be liable for all damages and will be invited to leave.

There will there be on-site tire changing.

If you are a beginner and would like some instruction please make sure you specify so on your registration.

I wish I had the cash to come up again.

I had a blast drifting at Buffalo Bills last year. The course layout was pretty fun.
