Too Poor for Real Paint
So I'm gonna put my kit on before the season starts, but don't have the funds to do a proper paint job and am just gonna rattle can the kit for the season and will probably just paint the whole car next year (And no, I'm not just gonna wait but thanks for your concern). I have pearl white paint on the car now, and its the Cadillac Pearl so its an eggshell color, and have seen some really good rattle can jobs on this forum. My entire history of painting involves my moms old house and some wheels. So any advice on how to make it look as good as possible and somewhat match the pearl effect would be fantastic. Thanks!

The pearl is the killer. That's going to be hard to match or even get in a can.
Gloss paints can show tiger striping easier. Satin and flats blend a little easier.
Over lap the spray edges as you pass over the part and try to stop off the part/paint. Don't start or stop over the part or you may get puddles or splatters. Check the can tip often as it sometimes accumulates paint in the rim. It can come splattering out and ruin the nice flat paint you just laid down.
When rattling my car I used a shop lights glare on the bumper to see where the wet paint ends so I can try and keep one constant wet section.
You might also want to check out a local graffiti store for different paint tips. Larger spray zone ones can be good but empty a can quick or give splattering. This is also assuming you don't get the new male cans that can't use different tips.
Here's an old pic of my rattle canned hood and bumper. They aren't show quality but work for a track car that ruins aero.
Here's my S13 which is completely rattle canned with rustoleum

I've seen some decent paint jobs come out with rattle can base, and a decent clear....
find the paint that matches closest in a can, get a Harbor Freight Cheap gun, get some U-tech High solids clear, find a friend with an air compressor... start playing
If you get the rattle can base close enough, from 25 feet you'll never tell

Yeah, I'm not expecting a perfect match, or even to be that close, to be honest, so we'll see how it goes. I live in quite a conservative city, so I'm not too sure if we have a "graffiti" store lol, but I'll check it out. Thanks for the info

So I did the side skirts this weekend to see how close I could get. Unfortunately all I had to take pics was my cell phone so it doesn't show much, but it came out alright. Its a little darker than the pearl, but from a distance i don't think you'll really be able to notice. We'll see once I actually put it on.
