Are you bottoming out at that ride height. I had a huge problem when I first started drifting my fd. The rear inner fender clearance is almost none at that ride height. The car would go into a complete spin cycle after spring compression.

My rears rub outer fender under compression but it just turns into tires into that shiny liquid rubber that gets everywhere, I don't really notice when sliding. My rear damping is set all the way to hard with alittle rear rake. I think it keeps the rear planted since FDs squat so much.

hmm interesting. I barely rub my sidewalls too; instant tireshine. hahaha.
but rear damping all the way hard? I guess FD's are really different; I'm
usually around 2 clicks up from all the way soft.

Ok so at 2a.m. I find out that my friend Bryce is down to Dyno some cars. Me being alittle intoxicated and down for a free dyno sesh I wake up early and drive to a high school automotive class that he helps with. This was all super last minute and kinda half assed but was fun non the less.
Bryce bent the exhaust cone into an oval so it would fit over my tips and strapped the car down
Excited to see how much actual power the car was making, I guessed 350 crank and when ever some one would ask at events i would tell them around 350ish so we'll see. The car had never been dynoed only street tuned.

We had to stop after 3 pulls the car was disturbing the classes in other parts of the building do to the noise plus I had to get going to work. I realize that the power is low for an FD but im very happy with this result. The car is on a conservative tune that is a few years old now. At this power it is more than enuf to slide and for me to get use to a new chassis. I want to get better at driving not better at building motors so as of now the boost is staying at 13lbs to keep reliability. Plus if its not broke don't fix it.
