Rene's Drifting Videos

Check me out....From drag racing to drifter now....all this in just 3 months of hard training. My back and legs hurt right now, from practicing 2 days straight at Camarillo airport this past weekend.Hopefully i can be good enough to compete
this year in some events.Hard work pays off but i like drifting now than ever before. To make it difficult i am training in an NA bone stock Rx7 Fc3s..LOL.

That's awesome stuff, Rene!

I hope I can adjust to my new rx7 well enough to do some sweet stuff this season here in the midwest. I haven't drifted anything outside of a v8 and I quickly destroyed that engine.

Not bad. Not bad at all.

You said bone stock n/a. I didn't see any body roll really. Any suspension mods?

getting sideways

I meant i have a bone stock NA 13B engine,This car was given to me after sitting 10 years in a back yard, all i did is get it running and see what happens, but i do have suspension work in it..i have a set of HKS Coil overs that i bought USED with front camber plates..and a used borla muffler with my old FD wheels.

All i do is weight transfers and use clutch kicks to initiate my first turn...but i do use it sometimes to get the car sideways and keep the engines revs up whenever
there is power loss ..but its pretty easy to keep the momentum going,it took me a while to get the car to stay in good angles because this Rx7 is pretty snappy
side to side and play with whatever power i can get out of it....or E- brake but use it when necessary.

cool cool. cant wait to start drifting on my fc...its almost ready i just need to get my lsd locking(clutch pack worn), new engine, tranny and diff mounts and get a urethane bushing kit and then i can start tearing up my tires lol as far as upgrades go...suspension (coilovers) can wait for a while(boke as hell lol)

So cal people let me know if anyone is interested in going to the track for practice...

There is limited entry on some occasions but need to know in advance,PM me or send me an e-mail at my website. The track sessions are pretty cool and technical. There is a school there also in hand if you want to learn using their car...all you need is show up and they will take care of you with all the drift tricks(of course you pay for car rental),track is huge and no damage to cars if you spin out or fly off the track.

We also do track drift and Grip day at willow springs... There is a schedule i will post up for next events...
