"The Rebound"

so I guess this has been long overdue but i thought i'd make some updates on the #newtomefc..

I picked this thing up hoping to throw a tune on it and be back on the track with an FC chassis... unfortunately that wasn't the case at all...

went to the dyno about a year ago to tune the car and found all sorts of problems... so decided to rebuild the whole front end of the car...

made a new manifold. along with working with Borg Warner to try some differ turbo setups...

also made this screamer exhaust..

took it to the dyno and made 406whp @18psi... just in time for asb this past year...

where i found more problems with this thing... so decided to redo the fuel system with -8 lines, new lines, seals etc... thought i had everything sorted and went back to the dyno where we made 440whp at only 15psi.. but we were running out of fuel so we couldn't push it any further... so the 4000cc worth of injectors didn't seem to be enough.. time for some id2000's i guess.. when i'm at the dyno i shut the car off after one of the 440whp runs.. go to start it a couple minutes later and it won't fire up.. f' with it for awhile and decide to try and bump start it... it bump starts and is running fine.. take it down the street and it RIPS! shut it off and it won't fire again... WTF! mess with a bunch of stuff and can't figure it out... tow it back to my shop and think about what could be the issue.. finally decided to compression test it...

alright so compression is low across the board??? time to tear it apart and see what's up with it.. get it broken down and find a broken corner seal and ALL the apex seals are WARPED???? do some research and i guess it's common for super seals to warp under heavy pressure.. also after tearing it apart find that there's some issue with the ports so i take the motor down to Kyle Mohan to get re-ported and lapped...

got everything back along with some id2000's from him and i'll be putting the motor back together in the next couple weeks.. should rip real hard with the new porting and proper seals... can't wait!

on to some other issues... looks..

so i'm pretty over having a blue car... time for some Hot Line action... need to correct this first off..

too much poke.. so i'll be throwing on some Hot Line 60mm rear to tuck these 18x12's with proper alignment specs..

oh... also will have some of these for the front soon... proper 45mm foresight style ventless... not the garbage ones i had someone working on about a year ago.. decided to scrap them and get some real foresight 45's to start with... molds are made and we'll be popping them as soon as my guy gets some time in between his other projects... wheels are 18x9.5+12.. plenty of room for proper offset and alignment settings.

these are shaped perfectly to match my rears which are more aggressive than anything else out there..

here's the rears on Chris Forsberg's FC... 18x11 -32

So here's the deal. As a collective body, we won't be happy unless you're making atleast 700 to the wheels. That is all.

special blend divided t4 s300 series.. tried a 1.00, .91 and .83 exhaust side.. the .83 was definitely the one... boost came in way earlier and hit HARD! it gave me good memories of the green car...

well i'll tell u now you're gonna be disappointed... i have plans to only run about 460-470 tops.... and trying to keep boost to around 15-16psi.. i'm sure i could push well over 500whp with around 18-20psi but at that point i'd have to deal with drive train failures that i don't have money for at this point... although it does have drive shaft shop axles and i'll be putting in an os giken 1.5 super lock diff as well. it currently has a kaaz 1.5.
i don't want to have to put in a dog box or stronger trans cuz i'm trying to keep this car "streetable"

probably not, considering I do have to think about being a sponsored driver and those type of actions could lead to that not continuing... however I'm trying to work on some type of "closed course" street stuff.. it just depends on if i can get the funding for it..
