So far the main focus has been on chassis of course.
Instantly stripped interior, then dry iced all the sound deadening, and found some straight s5 doors to replace the damaged original doors.

Threw on racing beat front sway bar and tein coilovers on it.

Then shortly after began prepping for the rollcage.

And! My sponsors Forged performance just finish the new manifold that they are setting me up with. I am so happy with it. I have worked with many other manifolds and by far I like this one the most.
Also easily bolts from either Fc or Fd, though it was built for a bridgeport Fd.

Looks pretty good.

Is it me or are your door bars a little high though? I guess they are where they need to be. Just looks like you'll have to Dukes of Hazard your way into the car.

+1 for another local drifter. too bad we don't have any regular drift comps or open drift days around here.

Dang!

I like the wastegate location on that manifold, any plans for a twin gate version?

What were the goals with the exhaust mani. set up like that?

I've found that large, short runner manis are better for reaching boost threshold, and paired with a large port wastegate, you can run a responsive turbo, and bleed off the extra exhaust flow when in boost. I know there's less room in FD's for strut tower clearance, but more clearance with the LIM... is this a compromise design?

Are they going for high RPM(like over 10000) with a turbo setup?

Not hating, just wanted to hear if you have other objectives...

Hell yes!! I talked with Pham from forged and he said absolutly. This manifold is basicly the beta. He'll make just about any variation you could want. But yes the twin waste gate version is high on the priority list.

First off everything is a compromise, including short runner manifolds. Yes, shorter runners do improve initial turbo transitional response, but you lose power in the mid to top rpm range due to choking of the exhaust pulses. Runners at a length of 16 to 18 inches depending on number of bends is roughly the average surface area of one combustion stroke, therefore as a result you do not lose too much overall power (at the manifold) throughout the rpm range.

Actually I'm using manual crank doors. Then cut all the sheet metal out arount the center and relocated the crank to the highest and forward most points of the doors.
The door bars bow out for more elbow room. Very spacious
