Today I started on going through my front end. I had spare front control arms and brakes. Removed old dead bushings and installed fresh pollys. I also have almost all I need to do my front brakes. New calipers, rotors, steel braided lines. Just waiting on pads. Trying to pick out good pads, open to suggestions..

Will post pictures as soon as I get to my computer. Don't know how to do so from my phone.

As far as my motors progress
goes I'm in search of good irons. From there I'll have a pretty sound block.
Since it's a track project I intend to keep it pretty simple. Heavy oil mods and looser bearing clearences. Considering medium street port / street port and half bridge. I'm using almost all OEM parts except Pineapple Racing Heavy Duty Water Seals.

Thanks man Hey, that new chassis you picked up is N/A right? Dave from forged performance said you picked up a t2. Was he misinformed?

Hawk street pads are good out of the box... the HP+'s take some hot lapping to get them heated up enough for good lock/braking...

I'd go with a large street port... the gains you make with a bridge don't seem enough to make your motor "closer to the edge". Especially if you want to run a lot of events and beat on it...

I was looking at those pads, thank you for the opinion. If you don't mind me asking, how much does your car weigh and roughly how much power are you making?

The thought of a large street had crossed my mind, but I wanna keep the power band closer to stock and reasonable weight down the vehicle. That and I'm pretty sure it won't be long before I'll wanna freshin up the motor And do something bigger.
I was tinkering with the bridge idea purly cause the good numbers we've made with ours. I will admit it is alot of work though

That rear bushing does not look correct to me.

I think that rear cap goes on the back of the metal mount.

It's been a while since I did mine, so I could be wrong.

Looking good. Subscribed. Any estimated date of completion?

Notice the holes in teh control arm. They are slightly different? Huh. Gnarly gussets and cage, that chassis gonna be stiff.

Good luck with your build, can't wait to see porting/turbo/ecu/tuning/drifting this *****!

I have a small build thread on ziptied, but most of the stuff I've done w/ my car, has been over a long period of time, and some of it before I was going on many forums. It's been a long road with building my car, as there are a lot of parts available in the US, that I would have killed for a few(a couple few) years ago.

Looks like you have a lot of resources available to you over there, and so I'd imagine your car will be coming along nicely, fairly quickly...

Eh, no due date but I'm keeping myself to this one project to insure that I stay focused.
Yeah the spare control arms I had wer s5 but still a bolt in despite the subtle differenes.
And yes I love how the gussets came out but my new favorite is the bars from the firewall to the front struts. We weren't going to do it for a while but I'm glad we changed our minds.
And thanks for subscribing, there should be plenty more to come.

On ziptied huh? I might have already bumped into it. I spent a few good months religously reading on there but didn't really feel like going through their application process. Which was yours?

Why did you swap to S5 arms instead of rebuilding the S4's? Not being able to replace ball joints suck.

I'm keeping all the parts as spares. Just made the swap easier having. Arms out of the car.

Those extra bars on the Apillars? Are those to smash your face on? Unnecessary.

How's additional roll over protection unnecessary? Overkill yes, unnecessary no. These cars have long door openings and a steep windshield rake. Not a good combo for overall roof integrity during a rollover event, even with a basic cage. Facial impact will not occur as long as he has his seat belt harness on properly.

Describe which location you are refering too. If your talking about the A-pillar plates and what not, I going to disregard your comment.

Small progress update.
Just about finished with installing toe eliminators but damaged my drivers side Axel on removal. So now searching Portland area for replacement.
Also sourced everything to replaced entire brake setup with fresh components.
Really can't wait to get rear fender and hood, then prepping for paint.

I gave it to another fc drifter bro dood for free b/c i hate being a packrat....

Your cage would drive me insane. Too much vision obstruction for my tastes but if it works for you, awesometown.
