Gah.... I need a better camera or learn how to take better night shots and set it up for low light. I'm just grateful my damn car runs and i'm getting play time in and shooting sparks daily driving. I might try and get some action shots at some secret locations this weekend. Might as well enjoy it before the car is down for transplant in a few months.

[QUOTE=SlideAlliance;10263835]black gp cars need cool wheels and to be low, but you are on the right track thats for sure
I plan on lowering it back down again not sure how low ill go but at least 1/2 inch. I have a few sets of nice rims in mind but since Ill probably mess them up Im going to run some inexpensive XXR 521's 18x10 +25 that are gray with a polished lip. Should look good and if I mess them up no big deal to replace.

Yea thats how low i was but had to raise it up. Ill probably buy one set of cheap rims to run for a little bit then run some nicer wheels. Still deciding on the final wheel that I want that way I can buy a few sets or try to at least. O and that car is sick looking came across that some time ago.

Haltech has a SprintRE, that is specifically made for rotarys. Like Chance said, it's a stripped down E8 with better software.
I usually do NOT use the Haltech for anything other than basic engine functions. The only Aux. outputs I use are TACH, and ELEC. FAN.
The SprintRE is the way to go, if you are on the market.

I'm raising mine too. It definately sucks and is heartbreaking to do. Every twist of the spring perches is going to kill me a little bit inside. I had a fairly shitty saturday and thought my car was DONE after some ******** decided losing a wheel on a public roadway didn't merit flagging traffic, turning his hazards on or picking up his brake caliper out of the slow lane. I ran that **** the **** over at 15mph because i couldn't see over a civic. Nothing happend, just alot of scary noises. I just stopped in the middle of the freeway, turned my hazards on and screamed at the guy until my throat caught fire. I kicked his **** out of the road, screamed at him some more and left. He really didn't say much and thought i was going to kill him or sue him. He was busy texting on his phone. ****** should have called the police to stop traffic in that lane or atleast stood in the road to direct traffic around his mess.
So i mean, what are your goals with the thing besides kicking *** and looking good doing it? Proam?

Yeah I am pretty happy with it so far, I only use efan, fuel pump, air temp, injectors, cas, coils, tps, map, water temp and o2
I have pretty much half of the flying lead harness tucked behind the board in my car because I simply won't use it. Functions like roadspeed and aux rev limit (launch control) along with map sensor wires and three DPO wires aren't used on my car so I just tucked them back. Its extremely easy to wire it up I did it in about a day and then on the next day went back and cleaned it all up and wired up the data link units for my greddy gauges.
Hands down for the money, you can buy a used e8 setup or you can buy this brand new one and order the sensors you need along with fuse block and relays and you are good to go. Then sell your stock engine harness and ecu and make some money back off it. Haltech is ******* doing it right now bringing the heat, and outside of the closed loop boost feature is pretty much the same as the ******* platinum sport but its half the size
The way I set mine up is pretty cool but overdone in some ways. Since my car has full interior I wanted it all to look nice and clean and professionally done for the most part so I bought a bunch of really nice braided wire wrap for the entire harness and went to town. This is before I put everything onto the board, I will get more pictures of it done sometime this week if I can remember. You can see all of the wires that aren't in the braided main harness all go behind the board tucked away and hidden
better considering this is what I started with
and this is literally how big the ecu is, as long as a sharpie marker and as wide as my iphone, ***** rad as ****

This is some pretty impressive work you did here. Got to hand it to you on that. How much did this end up running you to get? Im currently using a MicroTech LT10 in mine and I like it so far just got to tune my setup and she'll be even more impressive.

I take it these events are going to be grassroots based and super fun. Sounds cool. The blue car was nice and original too. There was no confusing it with another car, you know? That's probably what the guy wants.
I'm totally glad i didn't mess my car up. I left my drill at home so i'd probably have to ziptie the remains of my bumper to the hatch or something. I'll stop with the idle chit-chat.
