The OFFICIAL post pics of your Drift Car thread:
even if it wasnt all waving and imperfect it would still look like ***... it just looks stupid imo, a subtle roll with smaller wheels or just overfenders would look soooo much better

A. negative camber occurs on cars when they compress under acceleration
B. MOST cars that have been lowered and modified they don't have much suspension travel (unless sway is removed and then they gain more "squat" or whatever you want to call it)
C. ROLLING VS. CUTTING = when you ******* shred a tire, the fender doesn't shatter into nothing as well as if you ever decide to lower the car more, you will never hit the cut fender on the tire which means it it less ghetto and gay.
out of pure simplicity and accessibility, cutting is easy fast and works......usually if you know what the **** you are doing anyway

I haven't looked up closely at an FC's rear arch, but they look quite vertical so i guess the clearance issues aren't as bad as some other cars.
I think my spring rates are 8/10kg? around average for a coilover, you still get a decent amount of suspension travel on hard cornering - even while drifting, and have to allow for sudden heavy loads, unless you're happy with the car bottoming out on the odd occasion. Guess that's a compromise again, ride height (stiff) vs handling.
I wouldn't have thought camber change would be enough to compensate? If your car's been lowered so far with the standard suspension, then yea the arms are going to be at a ridiculous angle and the wheels will have a huge change in camber with the slightest of height change. But that's getting into the same issues as bump steer, excessive arm angle causing poor handling.
Sorry not sure where i'm going with this, just interested in what you guys have done to improve (restore? :P) the car's handling, while running aggressively wide rims / tight clearances / flushness.
I'm with you on rolled over cut guards

Flush, effective suspension really needs a thread in itself

all i have is coilovers... with a 12kg spring rate. no sways...
my **** feels great. havent yet done third gear as i still dont have a drivers license... and firebird raceway dosent really have any 3rd gear areas.
Have you seen any other pics of this car? It looks awesome.
Oh, and it's a DRIFT car. It looks GOOD ENOUGH. Leave perfection to Chip Foose.
I would suck dick for those eurolines. Soo much dish. Nope, i'm soo ******* cheap i've gotta buy some weak *** 18x8/18x9's and then sit on them until i have enough to get the lips cut and re-welded wider....
If you need any further proof that it's better to pull the metal out to meet the over, look at some of dk's posts in here. He can't KEEP his overs intact on the gold car. However, blue car>gold car. He just hasn't realized it yet.

Dangerous, they may be heavy but they're a good looking wheel. I love vip wheels. ALOT. I'll leave all that finiky geo bullshit and unsprung weight to people who actually enjoy messing with it. I'm just down for cool cars and fun i guess.
Yeah, and we need more. Not dumbasses who make lips out of cardboard and spoilers from wood and have +45 offset and play it off like it's mag material but people who like to play on style and have fun. That's what drifting should be about. Playing around and having fun.
To me, there's nothing wrong with having a nice car, vip style, flush style, sexy style, clean style, stock style, an excessively flashy car, a boro car, a work in progress that's daily driven, etc... You want to put wild trinkets on your **** because it puts a smile on your face, go for it. You wanna half *** **** in the eyes of other people but are content with half assing ****, ok then. Smile. ALOT. Fun? Have some.

Guys, first track day, first time I drive my FD (less than 2 miles before...) in about 1.5 years, and I can't tell you how much I love this car.
It's just everything I've never had with my bimmer. Just a little bit tricky to go full lock with more weight on the rear wheels than the front ones.
(nevermind about ghetto windows ^^)
