Need help with 2 way setup

THis has been a massive pain in the *** for me. So ill explain the best i can.

My car. S4 TII

I bought a Tomie Tech Trax 2 way. Its the ZDA model and is meant for the viscous pumpkins. (So there site says) So i have been hunting down s5 axle stubs. (unequal length) I bought what was supposed to be a S5 pumpkin, complete. I popped the stubs off and the ******* thing is s4. (equal length stubs, clutch type diff)
Im pissed at this point so i tore down to see what the Big difference is. I measured up the tomie diff. the depth of the splines on the inside of the tomie diff are the same each side? WTF? So i tried putting in the s4 ones for ***** and giggles. (6 1/4 length) they fit in but are a bit to long, so the oil journals on them hang out a bit. But Its equal both sides. With the stubs in, i could not spin each side on there own. So it seems like they went deep enough into the diff to work.

So my question is:

Has anyone set up a Tomei 2 way(ZDA) ? What axle stubs did you use. Do you really need the unequal length ones? or can you use the 5 7/8 s4 ones. Does the long axle stub in the s5 set lock into the center of the diff or some ****, cause i dont see how the 7" one would work.

I talked to Tomie, and the guy couldn't get over the fact that my car came stock with a clutch type. In nicer words "he was special"

Thanks you very much for your time

wow, that suck's man..also the s4 t2 did come with clutch type diff's. the s5 t2's came with vlsd's..that is why everyone is after a s4 t2 diff. since its clutch type..
what you got was prolly the s5 t2 lsd upgrade since the s5 t2's came with vlsd's. which is why you need the s5 t2 unequal stub shaft's. and im sure that's why there website said that the tech trax 2 way was for the viscous pumpkin's..

if the unequel stub shaft's are what it call's for then i would try to find some...

it get's frustrading with getting aftermarket thing's to work since its almost impossible to get it to fit/work.

good luck ram..

Ya. I know my current setup is clutch type. I already packed out a stock one and a shimmed one. I got this Tomei for dirt cheap and its brand new, but it was intended for the JDM viscous. In japan i believe they only came viscous or open, correct me if im wrong. But the big thing that gets me is on the tomei diff, the axle splines are the same length each side. (inside the diff) So why would i need the unequal ones? the 7"stub looks like it would be way to long. It looks like i could run/should run equal length ones? Just looking to see if someone has setup there own ZDA diff and what axles they ended up going with.

Thanks
