Lightweight Flywheel: Pros and Cons?

I'm currently running an na 13B, what would the pros and cons be for adding a lightweight flywheel? What about on a turbo?

Less drivetrain loss. Higher rpm starts from a stop means increased flywheel wear. Also less momentum for clutch kicking.

So are they a yes or a no for drifting? Or is it a personal preference kind of thing?

Id say a lighter flywheel is fine depending on how light you go. The lightweight steel ones would be fine, but the ultra light aluminum ones would be too much.

I have a JUN forged chrome moly 9lb on my FD. I love it. Heal toe downshifting is much smoother, and the power comes on much faster. I don't know what increase in power I gained because I have not put the car on the dyno since the install.

I don't believe there's any actual increase just there's a better response.

I have an ACT pro-lite flywheel. I daily drive it and I think its finen. Reving up rpm is way faster.

Your probably right. I can say the increase in response is worth every penny to me. I auto cross my car, and keeping the rpm's high is everything for a single turbo rotary. Im running a half bridge which helps with spool but the light weight fly wheel pushes it over the top. My single is also only a to4e, so it's not to big or creating to much lag.
