i used a vise to do mine. wasnt' that hard all ..had to use a ball joint press (giant c-clamp style) to get the metal sleeve out. but still wasn't hard at all.

Yeah, you can do this on the car... just get a large C-clamp/press tool(that has a hex end, not the sliding shaft type), and use a piece of steel pipe, slightly larger than the bushing bore diameter(to receive the DTSS bushing when pressing out. I cut the receiver to 1/2" longer than the bushing itself, and welded the opposing end shut, so the clamp/press had a solid surface to press against.
Press the old out... and the new in...
Pretty straight forward once you're under there...

I took my **** 10 minutes down the road to the machine shop, had em press the old sleeves out and tapped my elmims in with a hammer. Total cost?
$60. $45 for the elims and $15 for the machine shop.
There was no getting those sleeves out with the hacksaw method. I killed 3 blades before i threw the carriers in the back seat of the daily and went up the road.
$400 is pineapple **** rape. I would have punched whoever quoted me that in the throat and walked off.
