I Wish I Was Cool Build Thread

Where to start... hmmm...

Well I used to drive this pile of bandwagon trendiness:

Low and slow was fun but cracking oil pans got fun and became stupid. Plus the engine went out at 65k miles and I was already extremely frustrated with it, and I already have a backup daily, so I indulged my Gran Turismo 3-induced childhood fantasies and bought this pile:

It is a 1987 Rx7 NA shell with a full TII swap (engine, lsd, etc)
Mods include:
-S4 Engine w/ S5 intake manifold, S4/S5 Hybrid turbo, S5 550cc Injectors
-Rotary Works V-Mount
-Poweredbymax Coilovers
-JTP Knuckles
-3" Corksport downpipe/Exhaust to Blitz Nur-Spec fart cannon
-Gilmer Drive
-Bolt In half cage
-17x9/10.5 Mustang Bullitt Wheels, 215/40F / 225/50R
-Unknown make Rear Sway Bar (its green?)
-Shine Auto hood
-Nasty ricer widebody fenders
-Half gutted interior with wires everywhere
-A reverse-wire-tucked bay; (There are wires everywhere!)

So yeah. The Fenders were in horrendous condition IMO but I knew a guy who really wanted them... So we traded.

I know its not much to look at. But I'm working at it. Lets see, I have ordered a Sparco Rev, 750cc RC injectors for the secondaries, ecu at digital tuning for the RTEK1.7 install, cage is out and being painted (maybe getting a crossbar welded in to mount harnesses too), And I know a local guy selling a Shine Auto aero kit for cheap, so I may snag that if I can scrounge the cash up. Also planning on cutting the can off the exhaust and welding on some aspec blast pipes instead and am thinking of vinyl wrapping if I can't afford paint. Going lower as well, of course. I'd like some new wheels, but I'm poor. No, it'll never be a cool pro-am car like a lot of you guys on here. I just plan on taking it to the local drift parties and enjoying myself with it. She's extremely loud, obnoxious, smelly, tempermental and a lot of fun.

Looks great man. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun in that car. With the R-W Vmount: Be careful around bumps, potholes, curbs, etc. It hangs the radiator down really low and can really get scraped up and damaged. I think I can see that the lower hose has been relocated to the side which is damn near a necessity.

It is a fun car, just can't wait to drive it some more haha. The radiator does hang low, which sucks because I want to lower the car more, but w/e I'm used to driving really carefully and such. The scion taught me that much. As for the old wheels on the scion, they were BBS Style 5's. I went through a couple sets on that car, the bbs, some brotas, rpf1's, and the Alphards. I'd like to get some rpf1's on the fc as well as some Regamasters.
