yeah man. You were tearing it up dude. I suck at driving my car. I did better when it was a rotary with stock knuckles haha

Seriously though, those are 2 huge changes that will take some seat time to get used to. For the second event on that setup you were killing it. This is my first year with a v8 and modded knuckles too... it took me a couple events to get used to driving a lazy camaro motor rather than a rotary. I'm just really disappointed I didn't bring more tires with me... I ran out of rubber around 4pm and they were letting everyone run free-for-all style until 6.

Why did you widebody the car and space the wheels? The fit very nicely on a stock body without spacers... Couldn't find non-wide 'glass fronts?

Well there are a couple reasons. First is that those wheels and tires don't fit in the stock body even with a roll and pull. Second The rears are actually housing a tire that is 20mm less than what I want to use. and third In the front those "Wide" fenders are awful. My wheels and tires poke out about 1.5-2 inches on both sides.

I might go lower. Not sure.

I just blew my transmission the other day so I have that on my mind. Pretty weird actually. I was just pulling my car back into the shop and in 1st gear at about 1200rpm the car just screeched to a halt and shut off. Now it wont turn back on unless I press the clutch down (that switch was eliminated a long time ago, this is a mechanical thing). I also can't grab any gear. It sucks. I had to take out the driveshaft just so we could push it.

Sorry to hear about the trans, but once you start dialing that thing in more, post up some vids.

Super impressed with this entire build

scroll to post 53.

Your other reasons are still valid. I can't imagine you'd get enough traction with such relatively narrow tires.

Don't worry about it dude. I ran it over before you did. haha.

Nah I'm not making it up there I have too much shop work to do. Not to mention I haven't fixed my car yet and I hate going to events and not driving.

Been messing with my angle. I had about 54* in the car with my old knuckle mod.

The new mod has about 70* in the air and on the ground (video of it turning soon)

I still need to make some bump stops. I'll have 65-68* usable when it's all said and done.

I still need to make improvements to the ackerman, but it's a work in prgress.
