I yanked the 13b Turbo and Trans out the day before yesterday. It kinda looks like a steam punk rocket when it's vertical on the engine stand.

I'm going to buy a rebuild kit and rebuild it for future use in another chassis I think.

I did a hack job painting the engine bay white. I t would be better, but it started raining and I didn't have time to make it good.

I wrapped the headers and they are ready to rumble.

Andrew is dropping the LS out of the firebird. I'll bring the FC over to D-UP when it's out.

^^ Nice dude. You really need to relocate that lower radiator hose. It hangs dangerously low ( as you know). Where did you buy a cage from? Custom? Bolt in?

That is absolutely sick looking, was always thinking about how fast an RX-7 is with a V-8 motor.

Yeah that's a winter project... I'll get fixed when I drain it for the winter...

A local shop... Dont wanna name names in an open forum. It's supposed to be A custom cage. Pretty much gave away $1000 at this point since I have absolutely nothing to show for it. Expensive lesson learned I suppose.

Maybe with my tax return next year I'll get someone to bend me one up.... Or buy a bender and a notcher and do it myself.

not trying to knock you, or your work, but why even paint the engine bay when it looks not as good as it would have if you just pressure washed/cleaned it all.
just saying that money/effort could have been put into other things.

that vin plate comes off with 2 screws..... i just don't see the logic getting put in here.

The paint job is garbage, I'm completely aware of that. I could have done a better job except for the a fore mentioned weather problems. Really the engine bay paint isn't meant for looks at all it's pure function. My engine bay was black previously. The reason for the white is to quickly expose and hopefully cure any fluid leaks that may arise. With the black engine bay you can have oil misting out of lines and not see it for a while. White solves that.

@OP dude if it's riveted then that thing is stolen or something.... all FC's came with small screws holding the vin plate on. its screwed for this situation exactly. the stamped vin on the firewall should match it.

it's not raining everyday homie! finish that ****!!!! no quitting!

V8 + Red + white is the worst combination ever.

I Like white wheels. Kinda depends on the color combo like everything else. This car won't be red when it's all said and done anyway. Not sure what color I'm going with yet.

Some random iPhone pics from whats happenin

There have been a lot of fitment issues. I'm using the Pez mounts and 1 7/8" JTR headers that are wrapped in heat shielding. With all the firewall and trans tunnel mods we're actually hitting the throttle pedal. Any suggestions on that would be more than welcomed.

WOW really? Hitting the firewall? I'm using Hinson engine mounts and a custom trans mount. Is it just the headers your having clearance issues with?

Our cars look alot alike
