Not sure what's going on, but in any gear if you press the throttle past 25-30% it will break up. No matter the rpm, or boost, vacuum etc. Its almost identical to an OMP fault induced limp mode, but the omp is fine, and the car isn't in limp mode.

REALLY stumped on this one. Car free revs fine, it only breaks up under load, even light load.
How are the grounds for the ECU etc? I had hesitation under load into the secondaries recently that was fixed by better grounding the main ECU and boost sensor solenoid. Although the second mentioned ground only applies to 86 NA.

All grounds are fine. Installed a new harness, regrounded everything, changed the plug wires, and made sure spark was strong.

Pulls fine at light load, no matter the gear. But if any sort of heavy load is put on it, instant ignition break up.

Only thing I've left to try is maybe the coils? Damn this thing is kicking my *** D:

Time to update. A lot has happened since my last post. Car never ran right on that sorry *** RTEK.

Waited until my Christmas bonus, and splurged on parts.

Finally bought a dope ECU. Adaptronic e420d. Going for a real simple set up, and a sorta tucked harness. Got some bigger injectors to go along with that.

New parts for January:

Adaptronic e420d ecu
Bosch ev14 1000cc injectors
Full Function Engineering lower o-ring inserts
Innovate MTX-L wideband
Aeromotive Stealth fuel pump
Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator
D-max style rear 30mm overfenders
Real BN sports 30mm front fenders
Rebuilt stock turbo
New ebay 6 puck clutch
low mile NA trans

Hoping to have it wired up, and tuned by the end of the weekend. My buddy John Vargas is wiring it up, still unsure as to who's tuning. We may just have to tune it.

I'd definitely recommend upgrading the fuel rails. Or even just modify them and weld on some AN fittings. Wouldn't want to see the pulsation dampener start leaking.

I have an AN fitting welded to the end. I'll get rid of the pulsation dampener too though. I kinda like the idea of a working one, but ehh

From what I've read the pulsation damener doesn't do anything. I didn't look super deep into it but there's no evidence that I found that supports the use of one, otherwise I think you'd see every other racecar build using one.

Especially if ur gonna jack up the pressure to beyond OEM pressures, its not worth it to have that 20+ year old diaphragm in there.

Correct. I was a ***** about deleting mine at first, but I found zero reason not to, and after doing so and running my car at race conditions.... **** that piece of **** fire hazard. get that thing out of there. I have mine blocked via banjo mod presently and not scared.

Welp, gonna have trouble doing that since mine is s5

I figured I would go for aftermarket rails before though. Might be time to level up

Ordered a TINY new turbo (t04b) from my buddy Vic. Good for around 350 on mid-high boost though, and my goal is 275, so I'm happy.
Got a manifold/50mm wastegate

And just today received some used 4.25" work lips from Ryan(Zenki_FC3S). I'm ghetto, and don't care if my wheels aren't perfect. I rock reps anyways haha.

My old car did this, and it turned out to be the AFM. I was able to prove that it was the AFM by switching in an n/a AFM onto the turbo motor and the stumbling went away.
