Drift/Time-Attack/Street

So after doing a lot of research I've come down to 2 options for my drift/time attack/street project. My motor is built and i'm a firm believer of building something right the first time. So no......if you're one of those guys who thinks building motors is a waste of time.. then this probly isn't a thread you should give any attention. But just as important to my motor build is my tune. Now I absolutely love my Power FC. I've never had any problems with it and up until recently I thought I would be using it on my newest build. But after doing research on different standalone's i've come to a fork in the road and now i'm not so sure I should stick with my pfc. What I would like to ask you guys your feedback from either Power Fc's or Haltech. I'm not considering any other options so if you have something to say about another standalone..please don't waste my time. I think this thread will aid people in the future in the same predicament. So what will be better for my application? Here is my set up and what It will serve the purpose of:

All of this will go into my 93 touring fd
450-480WHP (W/Water-Meth Injection)
13B Rew Ported Coleman Precision Rotaries Short Block
Dynamic Balanced Rotating assembly with scalloped rotors
NRS 1 pc 3mm ceramic Apex Seals (race clearanced)
All OEM Mazda side seals/springs
Exedy twin Disc cerametallic clutch/w light weight flywheel

I'm an enthusiast...and I absolutely take care of my cars
But I also drive hard... and very frequently
The motor will see my rev limiter on a regular basis
At least 2-3 Track sessions a month

I want a standalone that will aid in helping my motor last for as long as possible at the desired power level. I'll make sure My tune is done by someone who knows what they're doing and that I trust. But which standalone will help accomplish this?

I know I'll eventually have to build another motor..but I want this one to last as long as possible!

Alrighty....lets hear it!!

both computers are good how ever the haltech gives you more options to work with than the power fc and you can do a lot more with the haltech than you can with the power fc in my opinion i would say go with the haltech it would cost more in the beginning but will save you money in the long run...you dont want to find yourself double spending

If money isn't a factor, then go Haltech. I mean you already have the PFC, I'm sure you're familiar with it and you will save a lot of money for other parts of your build if you stick with the PFC (think twin plate that you need)

IMHO..... HALTEC all the way if your comparing these two,Like said above haltec has many more options in terms of tuning accuracy & dataloging, additional inj.

Dont get me wrong PFC is a great option, but for what it cost new & used, you can get HALTEC PS 1000 or the RE deelio for not a whole lot more.to me PFC is just an advanced piggyback so it saves you money cause you dont need a wire harness fabricated its plug & play just about. But now that HALTEC offers a pre made harness???????? .

Soooo unless you get a PFC for like 5-600 with everthing (comander + a known legit tune on it already) long term I dont think its cost efficien.

O yea I beleive PFC ,is injector control limited also.

I can go on & on but its only my personal opinion,& for the time & $$$$$$ your puting into your build ..... just go ahead & cap it off SUPER TIGHT!!!!!!

LOL I just read what you wrote,if you already got a PFC then just stick with it,unless you want to spend money again on an EMS system..... Just roll with what you already bought.DONE

PFC has awesome start up tunes and if you plan on traveling to different elevations/climates consider that.

I have experience with both and I'm a fan of both, I just like how simple a PFC is. If your harness is old It also might be a good idea to go Haltech.

Haltech is a far superior unit, and it can control your water/meth injection too
Although the apexi fd that ran d1gp was on a pfc and seemed reliable
Your choice but I say haltech for all it's features and it's ability to control outside parameters like water/meth injection, boost control, 2 step etc.

you live in quartz Hill ? I grew up on l-4 and 50th... I live behind lanc high now.. You drive an fd?

I'm not really interested in 2 step as i'm prob the furthest thing from a drag enthusiast.. but i'll most likely keep my PFC. Just wanted some outside opinions with first hand experience tunning really.

Yeah I'm in QH, i have an fc though lol
But yeah I wasn't stating the 2 step thing as much for drag as i was inferring a spark cut rev limiter
That with premix will keep the motor lasting a lot longer if your planning to hammer the limiter as I do
