sorry for the lack of updates guys ive been super busy trying to setup for rd. 3 of the vegas pro-am series..

i got wide fenders all around from shineautoproject! ken seems like a rad dude! thanks again for everything! i paid forrest some monies to make me a vmount (baller welds) so thats done. bought a 6 puck clutch, 8way strobe kit bought paints. waiting for an aero kit from shine still. but ill try to get pics up later tonight.

damn chris for not signing off the shop computer. lol its buckey... sorry.

Updates from the last few weeks. one event and $3k later here's how the car sits.
I've been trying to take ernie's advice from the last drivers meeting as best i can right now, and step up full bore for FD vegas, and whatever comes in the future. Chris has been working really hard to put together a website for me to have everything in one area, and to appear as profesional as we can.

i took my car to forrest's shop, and let him do his magic on my FC. the Vmount turned out awesome. still need to do some things in the future as money permits, and i get my turbo setup finished up. the welds are baller and i definitely am happy with the end result. no leaks, nothing. i definitely reccomend anyone needing some work to explore his shop.

trying to jump into the fashion show scene, and i spent a day doing my front brakes (again. probably the 3rd time in 2 months theyve been apart.)
i replaced all my front studs, new stock brake pads, bought cross drilled/slotted ebay rotors from ray. (realy would like to get SS lines soon but not a priority)





Area77 ordered shineautoproject wide fenders all around. stay tuned for sexystyle aero in the works through them.



i'm running the broken BN aero still, and using eakine's GP sports front bumper. trying to step up my fitment game again now with the fenders.




needs a little bit of camber (waiting on garagetune coils with cambeplates)
forrest's Vmount work is rad. fitted into the aero so nice.


still need to cut the inner fender (and replace my smashed section) so please dont hate. the rear fitment is terrible, i know. 200 degree weather is no bueno.


ShineAuto Fenders fit just as good as oem. it's actually rediculous, because i was dreading running fiberglass fenders.. but these seem to flex really well, and fit perfect. i'm very happy with them.

i will be trying to post as many pics as i can in the next few days. i plan on doing my fan setup, ducting the vmount a little better. this weekend i plan on pulling it all apart and spraying it myself. get nutz, go black. the vegas version of team burst is coming in hot!

I gotta agree with you on the shine auto rear fenders being baller. I smashed my car up earlier this year and cover them up with the wide fenders, god the fitment is perfect on those pieces. Loved reading your build, make me feel like i should prolly start mine up, but i am lazy

God man I just read this entire thread lol.. Not the firs one who couldn't stop reading I'm sure.. I actually met you/ checked out your car about 2 months ago ( when it was smoking I take it you got that resolved) that thing is so sick! I can't wait to get my fc!!! Oh ya congrats on the 1st place! I'll def be taking my car to aera 77 when I get mine ( wanna sell me your na? Lol) car lookin real good with the v mount. Good luck at round 3 man

heres a little update. lack of a computer still so it sucks....

i ended up blowing the motor up street cruising to a meet due to the vmount setup. my fan was kinda sketchy, and the oil cooler location really needs addressed... i've been in a weird spot lately, and when money permits after round 4 ill get to the repair everything process....

anyways the event was on a saturday, and the thursday before it i blew it, and pulled it out.
just one stuck water seal, that was pressed in due to the pressure (car got so hot it was ridiculous)

steve wiring up my $200 derale efan i ended up running over after 4 runs after i smashed the k-rail..

anyways, long story short, stayed up for 2.5days straight to make round 3, dropped the car down to head to the track, and the fresh tranny we used had no reverse, and no 5th gear.... along with overheating/alternator charging issues the way there, and showing up and struggling for 45mins to even get in the gate, i got there. my mind at that point was gone... i just wanted to drive. we made it 1.5 hours late.

i did 4 runs, came in and got tires mounted, and they called us into drivers meeting for qualifying instructions.

i managed to knock off my fan, running it over. bent both my front tierod, and supernow endlink, along with the lower balljoint. the rear end i smashed the lateral (toe control rod) and coilover. we didnt have sequential qualifying runs thankfully, so i managed to bungee cord the fan up with the help of other drivers waiting in the staging lanes, and got back in line 2 cars from my turn to go.
i manji'd down the straight getting a feel for the way it drove all bent, and i did perfectly fine up until the wall yet again, and the alternator issues came back to kill me.... car started cutting out, and i just shut it down to save the motor, and to not look like an ******* after i already zero'd both runs....

i was first in points, and now im third with no way of getting the license through the local series. it sucks, but still theres one last shot at nationals, so hopefully during round 4 at FDvegas i can qualify, and make a few passes to retain my spot in points.

i've been so bummed lately due to what happened, but seriously it was amazing we even got the car together, and to the event that day...

i've already fixed most everything broken, minus the cosmetics (i dont care about the paint/fenders) i just need to get it aligned and see how bad it is with my bent coil over still. i may turn it to push it the opposite way for round 4 if its really off (which the wheel still is toe'd out like crazy)

heres pics of the car in our pit area after qualifying (there was only 16drivers and we were under the assumption there would be a top 16 due to what was said in the drivers meeting) so we started prepping the car for battle. got the rear somewhat straightened and started charging the small odyssey battery i borrowed from area77 to get to the track.

nickD, and ernie announced on the intercom, that due to us losing 3 other cars to the k-rail in qualifying they were only going to run the great 8. which was really the correct thing to do. i was bummed, but its racing.

im stoked that i have a legit DD but pissed that i wont be competing in the sick **** comin up in the month...

its cool though, i have some cash right now to do the cage and my brother is selling me 66ft of 1.5 inch chromoly piping, so just gotta get the trailer situated and some more cash....
