im stoked that i have a legit DD but pissed that i wont be competing in the sick **** comin up in the month...

its cool though, i have some cash right now to do the cage and my brother is selling me 66ft of 1.5 inch chromoly piping, so just gotta get the trailer situated and some more cash....

Its all ******* money dude...
i need to get down on another Daily too... my old VR4 is what got me this chassis and its cool and all, but i really need to be saving for another daily. i just can never get ahead my car is always broken. or really broken. im always trying to learn so i have no problem getting caught up in the fun and dragging my car along walls which just costs more money in the end....

even if you dont do the cage this year, save and just try to bang it out over winter so the start of next season you can go all out.
enjoy the daily thing! my sponsor is giving me **** for streeting my car, and after the last event they took it on lockdown for FD vegas, so ive just been taking my $2k park bike on the bus and **** to get to the shop... hahaha its so skecthy i know someone will steal that crap if i dont pay attention...

after FD vegas i'm going to get another job and try to save up for an s14 or maybe another cheap VR4 to daily on coils, and sick wheels. it would be great to have AC and not have a rollcage to get in and out of everyday..

you couldnt have said it better... it is all money. if it were in my pocket id have no worries and nothing would be a headache. just order, and replace, or purchase and get to the next event type deal... i envy the dudes in FD having their dreams come true in factory backed rides. i know its not everything we all think it is, but it sure is a hell of alot better than starting out lol....

thanks! i'm still undecided about the wheels...
like i bought them at first because they were cheap, and look just like the RE-AW7's but in the "correct" size. then i got BN. then i smashed them up, then the chrome faded. now im sitting on a bad investment... lol

i really screwed up my passenger side wheels, so i may bite the bullet and get them re-barreled to like 10"s up front and 12j rear's or something and get the faces chromed or replated. i dont mind the face (dont really like them, but dont hate them) i do hate the size/offset, and lack of lip.

if i were ballin' id pick up some AME's like justins old wheels, or VS-KF's.
tons of dish, and tons of shiny ****.

I know this has been asked around a ton of times, but since you're discussing wheels/widths and re-barrelling, what's the widest wheel to run on a FC with stock fenders front and rear? I'm having my BBSs re-barrelled and considering 10fr and 10.5rear. Intended use for my FC would be both track and street.

honestly im not really good with the offsets coming into play fitment wise. like i know how it works but it all really depends.

my wheels are 18x9.5f and 18x10.5 rear. both are +24 offset. with a 5mm death ring spacer my wheel lip was sitting on the fender when i rolled it. i pulled it slightly to make sure i didnt ruin my wheels but i think my size for stock rear fenders were about as good as it gets. i pulled them alot but before i did they were perfect.

the only reason im considering re-barreling mine, are because all 4 rims are flaking the gold foil off and the chrome is now scotchbrite aluminum because it was all faded, and crap. plus theyre all curbed from dirt dropping and now 2 of them are dented beyond repair i think. so financially i can fix them less than buying new wheels of the proper sizes for my widebody. i do need some spacers though lol. badly.

rim to fender. if my coils would go lower it would be almost perfect i think. but there are some people on here with nutty fitment.

i am needing to upgrade my widths but i am worried about the front when i do knuckles, i am all about as much meat as i can get up there without rubbing, what tires are you running on your 9.5's and what knuckles?
i heard jtp's knuckles are a bit crazy and tend add too much angle?

edit: if that last statement is even possible!

you can never have too much angle! lol justin's **** is awesome!

i'll sell my set, because i want to pay him to make me a set of his spindles. mine have a really good amount of angle, but nothing like his car. with a bolton spacer up front my wheels just barely clear my LCA, and up front they rub the frame rail if i transition hard and the suspension moves on bumps and ****. but other than that its not a big deal.
i see people with their brake caliper's chillin on LCA's at lock hahaha. i need that.

i'm running 215 35 18's in the front. if i had camber plates id be cherry on the fender breaking thing...

my rears since nexen kinda outed me when i tried asking for help, i moved to hankook ventus hr2's which honestly are smoke show tires! i<3 them. i run 235 35's at 70psi due to the lack of power, and not wanting to fully break ****. i do want to try going to 255's or 265's but TII tranny's out here are hard to come by...

make dori's look like ice skating! hahaha

i believe it! **** man i am running 225 federals on 36psi and doing well, just can't get that **** to smoke much, only running a racingbeat exhaust so like maybe 200whp, so i feel you in the power department, and thou i have a extra trans attached to my half bridge i dont want to break either of them.

if you have time over the winter maybe consider cryo treating the gears? something i have been thinking of doing with my spare trans

smoke is usually based on skill/angle, and crap. i never really could smoke my tires until i got spindles.

it just allows you to lay on throttle, and hold deep angle without "pushing" off line so to speak.... upping airpressure is the money maker for smoke though. at 50psi my car looks like it has a blown turbo. at 70psi on hankook's, it looks like my car's on fire while drifting on baby powder! hahaah

i wanna make my NA street car into a driftmissile, with my ABC's on it like my first car, and just coils, welded diff, and spindles/tierod spacers just to throw down and not worry about breaking anything...

the gears thing would be cool, but honestly i've been thinking alot about switching to an FD trans. when i say thinking i"ve litterally put this much thought into it. "hey look, an FD trans, that must be stronger, i wonder if it would work." lol
i know the clutch type is different, and i'd need a driveshaft, and flywheel, and starter, annd, and and and. but im on tranny number 2, and i want to get my car back into reliable throwdown mode, and not spend, spend, spend just to get back to where i started. idk what really is in store for the car however. everytime i get pissed off at my car and its issues, i get one step closer to a 1.5jz, with an r154... lol i swear at one point in this car's life its getting one if i dont smash it beyond repair.

Skill i have, angle not so much! really thou my biggest problem is that most of the track drifting is 2nd and 3rd, so my grip level is pretty high and i am on race line perfect so i am usually going about 45-50 average speed into second gear corners and the tires arent going much more than 5-10 miles an hour faster so they dont tend to smoke up. and 3rd gear i speed as fast as the car can go and feint clutch kick combo and it just sort of bogs down the more angle i get, or again they arent spinning much faster than the fronts.

Been wanting to swap a 1.5j in something for a while to be honest, just not my seven

Yep! Just a stock build with opened exhaustports on the housings. Irons are stock port still.
Has the best items from the shelf.

RWS crying 2mm sealkit with the 93+upgraded cornerseal/springs.

New waterpump and belts. Aluminum Dual pulley.

It has 1 event on the reseal and 4 on the compression parts.

Stock Is Turbo with twinscroll removed/welded shut s4 manifold.
All new gaskets (minus oilpan) -rtvizzled. LOL

There are a grip of videos of the motor. Plus if you (or anyone else) wants to buy it ill cruise you around in it and let you drive it. Plus check compression before hand. The build was qualityy.

Tranny number 3. Pilot bearing #90878

Replaced the rear subframe and both control arms the front steering really sucks now... it wont countersteer on its own yet the alignment was almost perfect. My caster issue is back...

FD Vegas is this weekend and my car drives like crap. I just want to do good and not embarrass myself.
I hope I can get back to being #1 in points again and get the license.
it's going to be tough to even qualify with my car as bad as it is though...

Come say hi in the pits though if anyone comes out!

its some crazy *** 4inch thick nascar brotruck radiator that holds like 4 gallons.
somehow my car still manages to run warm.... lol

get a baller one. JTP would be the guy to go to on the cooling infoz. my car used to be solid until i did the vmount. im trying to get FD and still learning the setup.

he's proven his **** works. dude hotlapped balcony like 9 times, and i would upshift 3rd on the keyhole thingy and water was spitting onto my window.... lol.. ***** frustrating.

i bought a baller fan from derale for $200, and it seems to have solved the issue though. just make sick ducting.

we drilled the spot welds, and beat the living **** out of it to get it off.... hahaha

both that, and the other front horizontal bar further forward. we tied the frame rails together just like his cars with a lower bash beam in the lip to protect the radiator.

i'm selling my car to my sponsor....got into some trouble and had an attorney bail on me, so now i have a bunch of tickets passed due that i have to pay...

he's going to keep intact however next year there will be a new driver i guess.... its going to suck *** seeing my car getting driven shitty but what can i do. hell if i wouldve drove harder maybe i wouldnt be in this spot. lol

V-Mount looks sick dude. Who makes the radiator and intercooler? Where did you put the oil cooler? Are you still on the stock turbo? How is the Vegas drift scene? (I'm thinking about moving)

intercooler is godspeed modded by forrest **** pro drifter, and ex full-race guy.

radiator is some unknown one that was posted at the shop about to get thrown out so i grabbed it. it looks like a one off custom deal. has a domestic V8 cap.

the oil cooler was put in the only spot we could throw it to use the same lines. juts moved it more towards the subframe behind everything (leading reason my car run warm probably, either that or the radiator) i didnt want to retain it, and couldnt afford to make temporary lines to use it. the ideal setup was the twin sidemounts or a monster derale single sidemount. (was going for duals though) just never had the money to handle it.... driving FD pro-am was a grip in itself, and with the car always breaking i couldnt get consistent seat time. it was just sucking money....

yup, stock S4. i cut out the flapper door and welded the small hole shut so it wouldnt have an exhaust leak.. the idea with the build was to not get caught up in R&D. my main goal was driving, and getting better. so i tried to keep the car in my comfort/knowledge zone, and keep it as simple/reliable as possible. tracking down stock parts at a drift event is way easier than tracking down super custom, shiny chrome ****...

the vegas scene is rad. its getting really good thanks to nick d, at vegasdrift. the events are going to be coming in alot more often now that the proam stuff is done for the year.. its hot as **** here though....
