Any events near?
I'm 17, and have had my FB for a little over a year now, and after accidentally sliding in the rain once, i discovered a love for being sideways. I tried to make it happen again, on purpose this time, and proceeded from there to learn to control it and make it happen when i want to, and after a good bit of practicing i've got the general technique down lol. but i'm tired as hell of every teenager around thinking he can drift just cause he can yank a hand brake and slide a few feet. So i want to start getting into actual events. Anyone know what the closest amateur event to Beaufort, SC would be?

Ive heard of some drift sessions in the upstate, especially Myrtle beach. Ive been to one in Spartanburg, an Rock Hill I think.
Cant give you any more info than that, lqtm, Im not into drifting even though Ive been sideways a few times myself.

Yeppers. Hope you find what you are looking for. Event knowledge and info is readily available on gunemdown. Lots of helpful people there to point you in the right direction too. Everything from passing tech to who NOT to run tandem with.
I have yet to go but from what people tell me it's really grassroots and chill at streetwise and mb events.
