Chance is the man! RAD opportunity at hand bro! Keep killin' it!
Here's what i've been up to so far. nothing real crazy - just trying to put in work to get my shop situated and get ready for this season.
Painted an S13 for Team Hybrid.
Killer rust repair on a 3rd gen RX7. front rocker panel was completely rusted through.
less rust
threw down some sketchy 110v splatter welds.
ended up cutting the inner tub a bit more (straight) after that photo - and plated it into the front. phone died. pictures tomorrow

With flake the 1/64th is pretty big. U need a 1.8 diameter tip and needle to flow that out.
Ive always used House of Kolor flakes.
The trick with flake is to use it with a similar color base coat. Or put the flake on black
I like the ultra mini silver flake

Alrighty, well I just wanted to say that I'll most likely never paint again. It's just something that i'm not patient enough to do. I get impatient and end up spraying too soon or skipping a tiny area I really should clean etc.. But anyways I used some self etching primer from a spray can, a silver metallic base, a super vibrant hot pink, and an acrylic clear. Total cost was about 150 bucks...not including the self etching primer i'd had for a while now. Here are the paint labels from my local shop...which may I add are Very helpful when it comes to knowing what i'll need.
Color
Pink
Silver
First I got it as clean as my patience would allow
Masked off
Primer
Silver
Pink
Clear and finished!!
There are definitely some runs...and definitely some really light spots..but for what I paid...i'm damn happy. The acrylic clear is hardening by the day...so it won't be long before I install the motor. It crinkled in a few areas as well but you'll never see those areas because the motor. Anyways.. Enjoy guys!

first rattle can paint job i did on the engine bay. needed paint because of rust and brake master cylinder leaked all over the place. rustoleum brilliant blue kinda like the same color as painters tape ended up being really shitty since it chipped like crazy.
new current paint since the other stuff chipped i sanded as much as i could made the surface as perfect as i could. this time i got a little more involved with it and did a better job. rustoleum cobalt blue metallic followed by blue metalcast and finished off with a solid coat of clear auto enamel. i did the same paint on my pulleys as well
the pictures really dont do it justice in person you can see the metallic much better, etc.
