Delrin is VERY hard, and is definitely stiff enough for racing use.

The kit gives the max amount of clearance for the exhaust manifold, and even worked for my custom n/a headers. It does place the engine towards the driver side, just like the factory 13B. This should give the max amount of room to place your turbo/ manifold combo.

Hey,

Does this kit work on 2000 - 2002 model RX7s and is it possible for you to supply The Steering rack, P/S bracket, 20B oil pan, Alternator tensioner, 20B intake manifold rather than me sending these parts from Australia and could you give me an approx cost.

Thanks

Yes, it will work on the 2000-2002 Rx-7's. I can supply the parts, but the oil pan and intake manifold are not easy to come by. With a little time I am sure they could be sourced. Depending on the final price I buy the cores for, it will be around $2,350.00

Okay so besides buying your mounting kit and an actual 20B engine how much more work is involved into putting the 20B in an FD and what else is needed?

20b Forum, including a sticky that will answer your questions.

Modify stock 20B intake + $240.00

Do you have any pictures of what you do to the manifold? Finished manifold?

The intake mod is to remove a section of the lower manifold, making it shorter. This allows the proper hood clearance. I dont have any pictures yet, but hopefully will soon.

I can modify my own steering rack, P/S bracket, 20B oil pan, alternator tensioner and want to know if I can just purchase the engine mounts, machined tensioner with ball bearing idler pulley, and the water neck adapter. If I can how much for the parts?

Yes, all the parts are available individual as well. For those pieces you requested it would be $1,080.00

Is this simply a do it yourself garage kit, or is there something that is going to have to be done by professionals (installation wise)

Are these kits going to be a limited production item?

seems like you have the market cornered on this one.

I see all who are exempt from smog getting a 20B in the near future...

lol

Amazing!

The installation can be done easily in the garage, it is all bolt on components. I will be making these for a long time, no limited production.

We are mocking one up for a FC, as a side project. It will be ready sometime in the near future.

Yes I weighed my personal FD, to see where it was. But it has a cage inside of it, and removed ABS. Its also n/a, so a turbo 20B is going to add more weight to that.

...and the results were???

How much higher does this sit than a stock 13B? Quarter inch? Any clearance issues with the transmission in the stock tunnel? Can a front strut tower bar or some variant still be run?

Nice kit and excellent job BTW. Just curious to know how this kit and position tips the weight distribution on the car. Keep up the great work.
