What to bring?
What to bring?
I have a problem and I want ya'lls advice.
I am putting my rx-7 back together and it looks like it will be done for Deals Gap. The problem is that my paint is wore out, nasty tan interior, and no body kit or outstanding performace numbers. So do I bring the RX-7 that will disapear into the crowd or bring our M3?

but...
I am JUST putting it back together and (don't know if you noticed where I live) the drive is over 10 hours one way. Last year the coolant seal blew on the way down. I LOVE my FD but I just can't trust it for that long of a trip. I could trailer it, but that could cost even more. Bummer.
Yeah id say bring the 7, Im really trying to get mine done in time, but I may have to bring my Daily(06 STI) which wouldnt be bad driving but just wouldnt be right with the theme. Ill feel left out for sure if I bring the STI.

Drive it around town and see.. you don't want to judy it together and then make the 10 hr drive.. and then beat the Sh*t out of it at the gap. You want to test all that near your home.
Yeah thats gonna be my same decision, even if I get my car back together and running I dont know if ill have enough time to test it here and trust it up there. So more than likely its looking like at this point ill be in the STI.

OIC... if you are just getting it together after a blown seal you probably shouldn't bring it. You may not even have the engine broken in by then and I don't think the gap would be good for that.

(kissing butt)
Mine however is a fresh engine that would need to be broke in between now and then, so that is another thing that is another thing that might keep me from bringing mine.
Yeah I know and I feel like crap about it. I wish I had really spent more time on it throughout the year. There is still a chance it will make it if everything goes as planned this weekend. I think that would give me just enough time to get her all buttoned up and running straight.

Well. I made it home today with the new ride. Tell me what ya'll (that's what they say in the South, embarassing) think......

Nice looking E46. I have always liked those. As for which car to take, if I was in your position, I would be leaning toward the M3unless you felt your FD was at 100%. Stranded sucks.
I'm a non-rotary car buff. I'll be meeting my buddy Aaron and the M3 in NC. Also I will be caravaning with my local buddy in his turbo Rx8. I'm going to take an informal poll. Do I bring my 2005 Mitsu Evo as originally planned? Or do I bring the brand new 2007 Mazda CX7 (aka Mazdaspeed 7)? We are bringing our 2 dogs as well (pugs), so the SUV will be 100x more comfortable than the Evo. My fiancee prefers to CX7 as well.
