On the way home, my "co-pilot" and I took a small detour down this road. The elevation changes are great, and WOT I had a hard time getting up some of the hills! On the way down, we had serious loads of fun. We saw one pickup truck and we got past him before we even go to the mountain part of the road. I suggest anyone relatively close to Helen hit this road, and my friend and I plan on using it on our route from DGRR next year also. I hope this road doesn't become too crowded, because on our trip home Saturday, it was perfecly dry, and like I stated-EMPTY! You'll have to see for yourselves, but don't tell too many people...

Well on the way home Charles (red repu) dropped off of his exit on I-840 saturday around 6:00, and I had about 30 more minutes to get to my house off of I-65 just south of Nashville TN. We both had a great time and will be there next year again.

Poor Charles had to get back in his repu and drive to shreveport Lousina today as he got word that his mother was in the hospital with CHF. I just spoke to him and he had made it and is at the hospital with his mother, father, and sister.
