I was saying the same Rich, even if it was a large tv that was setup as a monitor to a laptop and someone would volunteer to type the numbers in,,,

Or maybe a microphone/speaker combo instead of the megaphone... I was standing in the back with a bunch of people and none of us could hear much of anything.

Spectacular job as always Phil. Been Every year since 2006. The only good in Fontana village is proximity. That's it. Remember that from years back. No cell phone is a big hassle. The drive to and from the dragon is fun. It goes from 4 lanes ( fun w/ buddies) 😉 to hell bender and then 129. Can't beat it. Don't change a thing . G

As I told you when I checked in...everything was very smooth for me. It was better than years past honestly.

My only complaint was the mud on the gravel drive. They should consider either adding more gravel or paving it.

oh and DOUBLE PLY TOILET PAPER

I tried to contact the people who manage the cabins across... Did contact one who managed 4-5 cabins and he never got back to me. Also remember that not all cabins across are lowered car friendly.

PA system is a must... especially when we get 200+, beer/cigar, and not enough chairs. I came in this year without knowing what was going to happen with the new owner and new management.. I will purchase my own for next year.

I already had 30 minute conversation with the GM yesterday.. we have worked out a same deal as this year.. 20% off and 1 night free... Mainly because they were not in touch with setting all the cabins. They are going to make sure they are up and running next year.. including the hose for washing cars.

Towel paper... I'll ask.. but simple solution, fold it yourself

I'll also see about getting a large TV out there or maybe projection and a camera hooked up for calling names. I'll try to see if any volunteer is willing to do this.. I been meaning to buy one of those projector for a computer so we might get to use it for other than this.. maybe a slide show of past 10 years next year?? Who knows.. but I'll buy a PA and a projector for a laptop.

I also still need tally of cabin issues and other issues at NVNC.. This thread is really to give them a feedback so they can fix all the issues.

I think they should clear out the lobby so the Best of Show from the prior year could be displayed there, on a turntable, yea that would be perfect,!!!LOL

Edit: No, no, not Best of Show, I think the 1st Gen winner would be better!!!!
