I don't know how many of the DGRR attendees for 2026 are aware of David Mazzei, but I watched his latest YouTube video and he said he was coming to
DGRR in 2026. It will be awesome to see this fabulous car he has custom built with a 5 rotor engine in person. He used to own a very nice FD 4 rotor that he sold
to create this new monster. My car won't be ready but I may make the trip just to see it.

Just watch his video where he is putting the bigger turbo on. Fantastic build even if its not a 7.
I watched the same video as well. Last year, I drove to Birmingham to Chase Bays shop and bought a Charge Speed front bumper for my FD.
While I was in Birmingham, which is where Mazzei lives, I drove to the south side of town and met the guy who did all of his fab/welding on all under hood piping
and made the custom intercooler. The guy is an amazing fabricator and Birmingham has a very alive import car scene.
I'd like to ask him some questions about the transmissions people are using to put rotarys in the middle of cars.
By all my research you either need a manufacturing department to make a bell housing or a G90 trans***.... Both of those options are in the $50k and up category.
I went with the third option of "turn the redneck up to 11" and I use a G12 or G16 transmission.
*** I know you can use the 901 trans but they are getting expensive/rare, and they can only handle 200 pounds or so.
You ought to drive over the day of the car show which is usually Saturday and meet, look and talk with folks.
I drove up in 2024 for 3 days to just look at the cars, meet folks from this forum. I also met Howard Coleman there
to pick up my engine that he built for me. You would have a blast and perhaps some fresh motivation which is
always a good thing. I may go myself just for that purpose and to meet David Mazzei, see his car in person.
I thought my car would be ready but not quite, it's getting close tho.
I really enjoyed meeting and speaking with you at the car show.I didn't remember your name but me and my wife absolutely loved your car.
So much that if I hadn't been so deep on my twin to single conversion, I would have bought a red 73 rx that Cam Petite had for sale. If I make it this year,
you will be one of the first people I look for.
There is a small group of us meeting for lunch on Monday the 20th somewhere in Bryson City if anyone wants to join us let me know!!
We are getting close guys!
Deals Gap Special - Buy my Link G4+ Fury ECU for dirt cheap!
Hey folks, so after offering my used Link G4+ Fury ECU for sale here and on Facebook for its fair market value of around $1500, and getting zero bites here and only a few ridiculous low ball offers & flaky dreamers on FB, I decided to offer it up again to registered Deals Gap attendees only for the low low price of $999.00. Deal also includes Link's G4+ mounting bracket, and Link's proprietary USB tuning cable, and a pigtail cable that will let you connect to the 2nd CAN bus on the ECU (also a proprietary connector).
I'm bringing it with me to Deals Gap, and only offering it to attendees who can close the deal in person while I'm there, Wednesday evening thru Sunday night (I head home Monday AM). Payment can be in cash or Paypal friends & family, buyer carries it home.
If it doesn't sell there, I'm going to yank the AEM Infinity ECU out of my FC and use it there instead - wiring projects are a fun way to consume lots of time This is a great opportunity to get your rotary project's engine management needs checked off on a budget!
Attached are some photos of the for sale ECU, along with Link's Quick Start Guide. Feel free to message me here if you would like more techie info on the ECU or are interested.
Link G4+ Fury wire-in ECU photo Mounting plate/bracket included Connector side view of the ECU; the round connector cover with the "T" marked on it is for the tuning cable connection (tuning cable included but not pictured) Photo of Link ECU serial number/bar code sticker. ECU is unlocked & registered for lifetime warranty coverage support
I'm having issues getting the account confirmation email after registering on the website. Just for the initial account. Is there anyone I could contact about it?
The site seems broken in a couple ways. I tried logging in anyways and got logged in as Wjmerk.
Also the "Upcoming Events / DGRR Spring 2026" page just throws a "Not Found" page at me.

The authority on the website (and a lot of other stuff) is reddozen. You can try PM'ing him. I am just a repeat participant and am not a representative of the fine folks that put this event on every year. That said, I don't know if logging into the site is really currently necessary. The site is reused every year mainly as a means to register for the event, see who is coming, and promote the sponsors. It used to be more involved, but the upcoming events doesn't get used much anymore. Truthfully it was probably overkill as this is a very laidback event with the only officially organized parts being the intro, group photo shoot at the damn dam, the car show on Saturday, and the awards later that day. There is a Blue Ridge Skyway run, but that's a separate cruise put together by participants. A few seminars will also be announced, as they become available, that are organized by sponsors. The relaxed pace and chance to just hang out with folks plus organize your own convoy(s) to make a Dragon run are a major attraction for most. You will find that there just isn't enough time to talk with all the people you would really like to. I believe online registration is probably closed but talk to reddozen as you can register at the event as well. The only real drawback is the goody bag is not guaranteed. Most of the information and discussion for the event is on the Facebook group for those that still have access to facebook.

I think you are too late to register online. But @reddozen would be able to explain for sure.
Thanks. Sent him a PM. I know I can technically register at the event. The goody bag and tshirt was the real reason I want to pre-register lol. I know it's super late to be registering online though.
