@steve- oh I'm going but I might not go to addicted because it was pretty lame last year as you remembered. 20 or so people left early because in the past they have done dyno runs, engaged with the community, and as a complimentary gesture served us Pizza.

As for being the leader; I'm never really good at those types of things. I normally support the leaders. I never get too big for my britches. I also don't know how the car will handle up there which intimidates me. It's completely new. Engine, transmission, and 25% more powerful.

I'll be hanging with you guys

Happy Monday morning! Wanted to bump this to encourage you to join in the drive. For me, this is one of the best parts of the weekend. The Cherohala drive is quite different than the Tail as it has sweeping panoramic views and elevations up to 5,500 feet. You'll get some Tail of the Dragon like experiences leading to the Skyway and then, we will hit the Tail of the Dragon on the way back.

Will swing by Addicted Performance - DGRR sponsor - right after lunch to say hello. They are on the way to the Tail.

Meet in the parking lot on Friday morning at 9 am. Please gas up prior to then. We will gas up 1/2 of the way thru on the trip. Rain or shine, see you then!

Oh thank god, cause my car drinks fuel like a drunken sailor when I get in it. And I'm using an SA tank; so no baffles.

Too funny.

There are two gas stations about a mile or so from the resort and the meeting location - back towards Bryson City. They are the best places to gas up prior to meeting.

We are also going thru Robbinsville so gas is available there and 1/2 of the way thru on the trip in TN. We normally eat lunch and then gas up for the trip back thru the Tail.

The Pensacola group will be doing this run as usual, should be about 4 cars or so. I think that will work out really well going to Addicted during the trip, that makes a lot of sense.

I've heard this year they are going to have more stuff going on at Addicted as well. The shop has been growing quite a bit and I'm glad they are doing well.

Dale

^ Sounds awesome Dale. Addicted finished up my car and did the tuning so I can personally attest to the quality work and professionalism.

Look forward to seeing you Friday.

Maybe I can get my 87 N/A on the dyno, I feel I makes so much power that it will break the rollers, just kidding It probably doesnt make enough to spin them Im curious as to what a stockish NA with the AIC, Smog pump, egr delete with the 5th and 6th port sleeves removed is putting down to the ground, I bet 101hp any takers .

Too funny about the gas situation. Beautiful car though. Love Rx3s.

Great meeting all of you on the drive. Hope it lived up to the promise.

well my problems turned out to be Blessings. It was the best possible way to celebrate my birthday this past DGRR weekend. The things I came here to do, drive the dragon, attend awards ceremony, drive my "award wining" five letter more than I got to, didn't happen. No regrets, what I didn't expect was to meet so many "top shelf" individuals. Cindy and I had a real roller coaster ride this weekend, in all respects. The OGTA gang members spared no bullets getting me back up and running. Next year can't get here fast enough.
