Yep, I got popped on the tail. My fault. I was going to drive it slow to see where the cops were and forgot once i got on it. I had an open run and good brain fade, sure enough officer Snow was out giving away driving awards

Anybody know if they report speeding tickets to FL and/or if points follow you home from TN.

Heard about your award. With that and your trailer award it was an expensive weekend for you . From what I know you are not alone and there will be quite a few others reporting here. Beautiful car BTW. The LS3 conversion looks OEM.

Me and a couple of others had a close call on the way in. Riding along with my head up my butt and didnt have a clue there was a Trooper around until he blipped his siren at me. I looked in the mirror and could see nothing but blue lights!! Big Oh **** moment, lol. We were very lucky though and got away w/o giving autographs..

I head some were fortunate enough to receive local citations as opposed to state citations (significantly more expensive), what did you guys end up with?

Could have been the RX8 that went over the edge on Saturday afternoon. I apparently drove right by it and didn't notice. Heard the driver and car were okay and it was driven home.

I got a ticket for 70 in a 55 on the way from the lodge to the Dam Photoshoot. $218! Ack!

It's almost a shame that stretch of road has a low speed limit, it's SO empty and wide.

What color? was it a guy and a girl? Reason i ask was they were behind me headed toward the tail and i pulled away from them though all the corners. I don't remember seeing them catch up when we got to the store at the start of the tail. I assumed they stopped or went a different way. That would really suck if it was them.

with everyone getting tickets, anybody find out if points follow back home? mine was on TN side. TN is not part of the DLC so I hope they don't. I have n't called yet to see how much my award costs.

Ouch, we only got county violation, $20.00 ticket. Troopers suck! I did hit 120 against a bike on that stretch, sunglasses about to fly off so had to pull back.

From: FL-->NJ/NYC again!
My brother got slammed with a 69 in a 30 on the Dragon. Seems like this year was much worse for tickets than in past years...... wonder if the cops had it out for us in some way.

I was lucky enough to get away with no issues, although back when the Dragon was closed from the other end they were ticketing and 4 of us got smacked with 100 in a 30. Got written up for 55ish in a 30, took defensive driving class in NJ and got the ticket dismissed, was like an $85 fee associated but I wasn't complaining. Evidently you can do something similar every year, so may be good news for some out there

If its not a compact state the points shouldnt be an issue back home.

Rich, the defensive driving class was only good if your speeding does not exceed double the limit. I called and the lady told me the only way is to ask the judge myself when I appeared in court...i guess i will just pay my $250 and have 2 points....

well, I am a bit confused.

1) TN is not part of the DLC. They may or may not report speeding tickets .(voluntary I guess)
2) Lady in TN that answered the phone when I called the number on the ticket said "yes points will follow me to FL"
3) lady on phone said I could take the class back in FL but it had to be an actual 4 hr physical class not online. The I send them $106.
4) Florida DMV website says no class allowed for out of state tickets. Points go on record (4 points)

Anybody else figure all this out yet. My ticket is 58 in a 30- $256
