^ Don't sweat it just yet. What you learn up here is the forecast can and will change a bunch between now and then.

As for getting ready, my car is now running so that's pretty cool. Been 5 months in the making

Hope to have it back on Friday and then it's a good wash and polish and I should be all ready. Going to also install my new LED "rod" front turn signals and maybe my trick sequential light wiring for the brake lights.

Here's hoping if there's rain it's for a LITTLE BIT then it stops and dries up!

I've got to get my thermostat housing back from the welders, re-install it and fill the cooling system then charge the AC up. Oh, and buff the car out BIG TIME, the paint looks like terrible right now.

Can't wait!

Dale

Well, like I said, the weather chances at a moment's notice. Friday now has no rain and will be a partly cloudy 67 degrees, or perfect. No forecast yet for Saturday or Sunday.

Thought I was ready...then this happened....

On the way to work, driver side power window works perfect. Leave to go home, window doesn't budge. Weird. Took the door panel off, checked the switch, all is good. Checked power to the motor, all is good. Pull the motor, plug it in, and it works! Great (****). Pulled the inner door panel and voila! The cable on the regulator got bound up somehow.

Now, let me tell you what a massive PAIN IN THE *** it is to re-wrap the cable onto the pulley, then get it all squared away in the little plastic carrier thing. I needed 4 hands, but was on my own. With the sheer power of determination (and fading daylight) I finally got it all together correctly. Put the inner panel and motor back on, key switch on, and VICTORY!!!!

Next time I'll just buy another assembly. Looked it up, only like $50. Sheesh.

Like David said - The weather is nearly non-predictable around here. I don't look at the report until a couple or three days before.

On another weather related note, those that aren't used to the ultra-diverse flora of the southern Appalachian mountains might want to pack some allergy meds. I have a black car, but lately it's been more yellow with pollen. Seems that the plants are outputting earlier than usual this year. Sucks to have a big sneeze right when your about to nail that apex...

Just got back from the front end shop with a fresh alignment, needed since I had it all out for my brake upgrade.

The sad part was I had to leave the first place cause the front end guy didnt understand what I meant by negative camber, I couldnt believe it!!!

OMG - Probably didn't understand caster or ackerman either. That's whey you start to think about going crazy with a level garage floor and slip plates and caster gauges to supplement your strings, laser levels, and toe plates.

I can't understand why I'm not rich
