Now we have a challenge, will Corksport or my Japan goodies get to me first. I'll either be short shifting with a stock **** or "long" shifting with a 480g ****.

This totally happened to me today. I had completely forgotten about this thread. The emails were being sent to an account I don't check often(haven't in over a month). So I check this account and I see emails for a CorkSport order. I think to myself "wtf did I order now?" cause I forgot what it was. I opened the email from 5 days ago from derrick and see that they are waiting for my final payment and say they are ready to charge the card I made the deposit with they just need the ok.

Sucks to hear about the machine shop accident. Any details or a news story on that? Hopefully it wasn't our parts that were responsible.

Derrick told me via Email that mine would be going out today. I gave him the OK to charge my CC this weekend though. If you paid him last week and he said it would go out on Friday than it probably is.

Now Im just kicking myself for not getting the bushing that goes in the shift selector of the trans at the same time.

But aside from that, the shifter is bad ***. Im probably going to have to go install it this weekend...just to see how it looks. Course that means Ill need a new shift ****...junkyard miata here I come!

There is nothing wrong with Derrick's customer service. Keep your skirt on, you are in New jersey right? Hes in Washington. He shipped by US postal. It may take up to 14 days, just because its US Postal.

The final product is well worth the wait.

I got my shifter yesterday afternoon and it's in. Unfortunately my car is on jack stands so I couldn't test it out. It's definitely a different feel. I'm sure the bushings have a lot to do with it but going through the gears, with the engine off, feels more precise. 5th requires more effort which is good if you ask me. I hope to have her on the road in the next couple of days so I'll try to come back with a real review.

Dude I wrote derrick wendsday early afternoon of last week to give permission to take remainder of the payment. I got a message on friday from him asking if he can continue with the order I said yes and told him I had wrote him earlier in the week to give him permission to continue but never recieved any reponse. He wrote me back two minutes later telling me it would be shipped out that day it was Friday. Got back from vacation Monday thinking it might be on my door step. I hadn't received any shippng info till today. I'm sorry it shouldn't take almost a week to send something out that could take more then two weeks to be received

I wrote him last monday and said he could charge my cc. Just got a email saying it will be here thursday. Who cares? Besides he probably did a mass shipping as he is a business and this was a "group buy".

Well i got mines Monday (and my RE **** WOULD have too but the post office first ruled my address as unknown and was about to send it the hell back to Japan then someone must have realized that my address DOES exist and attempted to drop it off at the house..... when I wasn't home.... so now I have to go pick it up tomorrow at the PO) and I look forward to have it all in tomorrow afternoon.

Do you just not read? the corksport email says sometimes their spam filter doesnt let messages through, and that they get quite a few at times, and might miss a few. Either way, you got in this group buy like 2 months ago...you cant wait another week to get the damn thing?

Oh. And US postal doesnt work weekends. So uh, no, it wouldnt have been there monday.

Ive had lots of corrospondance with Derrick about my shifter, and all the updates, he always replied to me in a day, and with as much information as he could.

Random question though, anyone else have some slight slop in the shifter front to back? Im not complaining...its much better than before...but i remember like a plastic bucket sitting inside the metal shift selector, and I dont know where the hell I put it.

Just put it through its paces in the industrial area right across from our neighborhood and its great, no rattles, very direct, and will definitely make me a glutton for punishment because it makes me slam gears.... which in turn makes me drive faster Random: somehow I no longer have a third gear grind anymore, I don't know if its because of the leverage throwing it into gear faster or the slightly extra effort it takes to put it through the gears slowed my shifting down enough for the syncros to not cry. Definitely a great combo with my RE-Amemiya "overweight" shift ****.

Funny you should mention the no grinding fix. The test car we have had a problem when it was gcold wanting to grind when shifter into 2nd and 3rd. After we put the shifter in the problem went away. We re-installed the old shifter and it came back.

We have shipped out all of the shifters that we had people get back to us about at the end of last week and the beginning of this week. If you have not heard from us please call at 360 260 2675. I have 5 people I have tried to contact via telephone and email and not had any luck.
