I am Perplexed at Why everyone that you try to send PM's To..you get a message..Quota is exceeded..one way or another ,,at One end or another..I have PM's I like to keep.especially Current and Ongoing transactions..My messages are below the allowable.Is this something that you can look into also?..But Other than That..I Would really Like to thank you for Fixing the Forum!...My headaches are Disappearing..It was From the Cracks to the back of the skull from the Roommate Hitting My Melon..telling me to STFU and quit yelling at the damn Computer!,,CHEERS STYX!~

 

I think they decreased the amount of messages you can store for some reason. Maybe they upgraded vbulletin and it retained the default setting? I dunno. I know he was going to try to upgrade vbulletin sometime soon.

Still sucks. Expecially because people cannot send OR receive until they clear out their box. I was waiting for a slightly important one at the moment as well....... grrrr

 

They decreased the amount of PMs you could store in your Inbox and Sent Items to 500 total from 1000. I had 800 and suddenly couldn't send a PM and got a popup messege saying I was over the limit. I deleted a whole bunch to put me under the limit and I can send PMs now.

 

i say this forum is awesome actually, 500 max pm, and u can upload **** loads of pics here

compare to some other that wont allow u to upload sh*t and 70 pm limit !!!
my suggestion to the forum is put an announcement somewhere very visible to have us donate some $$ to upgrade the hardware so the forum will not get the database error

 

I don't get the DB error anymore...... And I was never saying the forum sucks... However, I do think it needs a facelift. Perhaps a more lightweight scalable forum software, an ACTUAL documentation system rather than just archive sections and FAQ's, and getting rid of the lounge.

 

There were 1.5 million PM's in the database, they had to be cleaned up ... and better you do it than me

 

Just 1.5million? Pshh.. Way to delegate your responsibilities... jerk. j/k

I don't mind cleaning up my PM's.... but, the problem is that if somebody hasn't realized it... they won't get possibly important PM's....

 

Can you sticky an announcement in all the f/s sections? It's ground things to a halt.

 

I agree. I think 500 PMs is more than reasonable, I just would have liked to have been informed of it

There's a FORUM WIDE announcement about the PM's, not the max number but that you need to clean them out. All you need to do is log into your PM's (which you'd hopefully then do to clean them out) to find out the max number.

 

I knocked mine down from 800+ to 59. It did seem faster, or maybe I am getting slower.......

most other forums only allow 500 pms too.. i used to wonder why but now i know, speed i did some cleanup on my pm's.. you dont realize how much crap you can accumulate over the years!
