V8 Section

Since there so many people on this forum that feel hybrid conversion are sacreligious, how about a section for the hybrid owners, maybe this will cut down on the Bitchin and moaning we see when there is a V8 post. I know for a fact that there are a lot of people that are doing these conversions because the guys at grannies performance are selling the hell out of their conversion kits. Many of whom are serious car crafters with a great deal of knowledge that could be beneficial to the non V8 members.

i think that would be good for all forum members. i know alot of purists get mad at that stuff so better to be "out of site out of mind" and make everyone happy.

I uhm...."5th" it Yea I do think this would be a good idea, could keep all the useful people that just want good info in one section, it wont just turn into a big arguement.

I 6th the motion. This would be a very good idea. "Hybrid RX-7" section. If people don't like it, then they don't have to go there. You could even lable it as just a Hybrid section for people running rotary motors in other vehicles as well.

Do not know why people are so uptight about swapping motors, it's been going on for decades.

I 7th the motion...I'm sick of people claiming that adding 200 lbs. of weight to the front end of a 1stgen doesn't affect handling or braking ability but are always unable to post any slalom times to prove their fantasies. Give the blasphemers their own corner so the threads can be moved post haste out of the 1stgen tech corner...yea!

I guess I'll 8th the motion.

Although, I don't and wouldn't but anything else but a rotary engine in and RX car. I would still find it a get source of information.

Besides...all ya piston lovers can stay in your own section. j/k of course.

I 10th that. Maybe call it "Alternative Power" to cover any I4-V8 conversions, also would cover future electric motor possibilities if that were to ever be feasible.

Wow... everyones started bitching and venting already.

Incase you havent noticed this is a forum for RX7s in GENERAL. IF people want to discuss v8s theyll go to TC or LS1tech or whatever, but guess what?

If they want to talk about the CHASSIS and the REST OF THE CAR, this is where they go. So instead of being a snob or a bitch or a whiner and getting between people willing to share knowledge about the chassis with people who use a different motor than you, why dont YOU shut up and stop poking your head in just long enough to whine?

RX7 club is... RX7 club. The whole car. There are rotary-only sections of this forum, however.

Sure, we'd talk there if we were gonna discuss the v8s, DUH, they actually know about them! But if someone wants to talk about the CHASSIS here, who are you to speak up about it?
