Thanks dude, I kind of needed those words. I had a very bad day at work. You know, when I was a kid I hate it when other people pick on the less fortunate, poor kid, etc, and I thought that the BS would stop once everybody grew up.

IT seem that not even at work, you can get the ******** out of the less fortunates, poors, weaks, PEOPLE WITH ACCENT, etc

enough rambling,

Thanks for your words

Hell the rotary engine may not be here. What if Wankel lived today and he went to an engine forum and asked hey what if I tried using these triangular things instead of pistons for an engine. Do you think he would want to try it if everyone is saying that is stupid don't ask questions like that here, I am too old to deal with these stupid ideas, No one would ever buy it. Huh? Do you think he would have created the rotary engine if he had gotten response like that? Open your minds. Don't just automatically say no that is stupid don't do that because he is younger than you are or joined later or doesn't have enough posts. Please just give people a chance.

I agree with you to a certain extent, if it's some new technology that no one has explored yet then by all means I think everyone is usually interested in it. But I don't think most of our gripes are with people who want to try new things, I think most of our gripes are with people who..

a.) Don't want to research and want you to explain everything to them(some even to lazy to read a webpage that you give them the url for)

b.) Again ask questions about which exhaust is best?, what does a 20B cost?(Mind you sometimes they know nothing about rx7's otherwise, and other sorts of things like that.

I think most of us are talking about the 3rd gen section(since we get alot of f&tf wanna-bes) and even some of the stuff that comes up in the lounge. Maybe a better archive for the tech section would help, but I doubt it would help the newer people and to keep all these questions from getting re-asked sometimes a couple times a week.

I too think it's idiotic that we can't search for some things like FD or FC, etc.

Hell...where we're all you peoples when I was trying to get this point across SEVEN MONTHS AGO and almost got booted off the forum!?!?!?!

Yeah, has anyone else noticed the content in this forum has gone to absolute **** over the past couple months?

See, most (errr, some...used to be most) people come to this forum for information. Information about cars that they love. I've been reading this forum since there were about 1500 members. Now there are over 10,500 members and guess what? THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO MORE KNOWLEDGE NOW THEN THERE WAS AT 1500 MEMBERS. It's absolutely inundated with F&F NAWS junkies who post pictures of their own turds in the toilet.

Yes, the forum looks spiffy, it's a great place to hang out, but the information content/quality is ****. I never, ever post questions anymore. Wanna know why? More than likely they WON'T get answered. Thank god for search.
Shouldn't have brought this one back up though...BOOSTD 7 is gonna be peeved

Well maybe we just need to be more strict on that part of the forum. Having the posts that ask how do I put a 20b in my 7, is a 3rd gen reliable, etc... just have the mods say it has been listed in the past use the search and lock the thread. Would that help? If so than lets ask the mods if we can do that? I just want to help here. And I am sorry man I am thinking the same thing right now, that you would think with so many experiences you would get rid of the *** holes, inconsiderate people but apperently not.

we do that on the protege forum, lock the posts where a search would have given plentiful results.

we also have really dumb memebrs, who will do somethign really stupid to tehir cars, and blame it on mazda or somehting else, and most of the forum will know, and sometimes make them feel like assclowns (which theya re).

then the laughed at members go to the "other" protege forum

as another protege member said "its now my mission to purge stupid assclowns from the board"

Again I realize that I wasn't here when there were less than 1,500 people, but if you want a smaller forum go over to www.nopistons.com. That is a reletivly smaller forum and maybe you would be happier there. This forum is much larger and with that we get a wider variety of people. Yes we will have people that ask idiotic questions, yes we will have *** holes, but with the growth in size we also get more oppinions, more suggestions, and most likely more people with incredibly intellegent answers and really helpful tips for problems.

My $.02 Rx7 > all... seriously. Granted I'm only in the lounge and first gen section, but out of all of the forums I'm a member of ( all of car forums of different makes/models) I <3 Rx7 club the most.

This is the most helpful and friendly (seriously--- you just have to get a little passed the "humor" of allot of members) forum I've come across and even after selling my 7 I'll keep coming back.

A close 2nd IMO is NASIOC

Too, there's nothing you can do to keep the douchbags away... just ignore them and they'll usually go away.

how did I not notice the date! That's what I get for responding to a thread w/o reading the whole thing.
