I'd also like to be able to view the classifieds.

I see the value in protecting the community from potential scams, therefore, after years of reading in the back ground, I'm working on that post count which in turn will enable me to provide insightful comments on the 3rd gen section.

It’s not hard to reach 10 posts. I also understand both sides. Especially after reading above about getting hit for hundreds by a guy who acted the part. It’s unfortunate that’s the world we live in.

The required post number is simply that, a requirement. This forum contains a wealth of knowledge that is completely free and has likely saved many members a tremendous amount of money. In contrast, there are numerous automotive forums that charge access fees or implement extremely high post requirements for accessing classified sections. While it can be frustrating to not be granted immediate access to certain sections of the website, it's extremely easy to meet the post limit to unlock those areas. For example, browse the 'Build Thread' sections and have a conversation with those members currently documenting their projects, post in the 'Pictures' threads if you have a relevant photo, etc.

I can say that aside from the occasional bad apples, this is a very open and welcoming forum that helps foster the passion for these unique vehicles. It's nice to see the mods implemented a policy that made this place less like a revolving door.

As a new member to the site, but far from a new member to forums I respect and understand the rule. This can really deter some bad apples.

Also been lurking and reading for the past 10 years. Time to wrack up the posts so I can finally look to buy an FD.

A phone number verification code would also help.
