Product Review Section
I'm Surprise this section hasn't been created yet. I believe a section for product review on the forum would be a great place for people to find out if a product has been used and how people that have used the product feel about it.
By breaking up the section by part type (i.e. Audio, suspension, motor, etc.) it would streamline the search and suggestions about parts that I know I'm always looking for.
This is my two cents, any thoughts?

This would rapidly spiral out of control for our Forum Vendors from possible competition sabotage and also from reviewing "products" for RX-7's or rotary engines not even offered by our vendors. It goes against the website's business policy.
It's been thought of before and voted down in the back, smoke-filled rooms.
If it's non-rotary, non-RX-7, there's plenty of other places for that kind of reviewing. Consumer Reports immediately comes to mind.

Mar3, I have to disagree with you. If it were made as a Non-Vendor Reviews Section, I believe it would work reasonably well. Just gotta keep in mind that it is for tried-and-true products, not speculation on if something would work or not. And to keep everything fair and relevant, each review should be approved by the admins first before being posted.
Each review should ideally contain the item, a part number (if applicable), the pros and cons of the item and its rotary-specific application. Here's what I had in mind:
Harbor Freight Pilot Bearing Puller
Item#4876
Pro: Very Inexpensive, works well after modification for our pilot bearings
Con: Needs modified to fit rotary pilot bearings (grind down jaws)
I got one of these for my 20B and it works after some grinder attention on the jaws where they come together. But after you carefully grind the jaws down to fit, it works just as well as the official Mazda tool. After one use, it pays for itself.
Something like that, after being reviewed for content by the admins, would be just about right.

Sorry I've been hugely preoccupied with my new job title and learning the ropes w/o any kind of training program. Crash courses in advanced Excel capabilities, Safari, Java 6, share point sites and FTP have really taken all of my time as I "self train" on this job....but I'm finally at a point where I can start "living on the forum" as I had before.
We're going to put this new sub-forum into the Classifieds board, more news tomorrow.

Waiting on a PM and some opinions but having to wait on the PM bodes serious ill toward future stewardship.
