I'm seeing more and more FS posts that do not have an asking price.

All items MUST have an asking price, this is not an auction site.
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=366780

Is there any thing that the mods can do to aleviate this problem?

Suggestions do NOT belong in the FS section either...

And stuff like ebay listings can't have asking prices! Other stuff that is not on ebay I agree with, but what are you supposed to do if you put something on ebay? There's no way you can have an asking price really unless you are willing to end the auction early for a desired price.

It appears to me that you are on my thread doing the whining.

Please move this thread to the suggestions forum.

i wasnt whining, i was simply stating that people do not appreciate that you are continually posting on their threads, when you really dont even seem to be an interested buyer.

You have it all wrong.

I do not "continually" post on people's threads. I've read the forum rules and they are very clear about stating an asking price. I am an interested buyer and don't appreciate having to ask for a price when it is suppose to be stated by the seller.

I find it enlightening that you represent yourself as the voice of other "people (who) do not appreciate..."; and who do not mind breaking the forum rules.

What the **** do you expect when it's an ebay auction?! (referring to felix's thread here) How is he supposed to post a price, it's on ebay, it's an auction, all he's doing is posting the link to it and stating it's for sale. This is done ALL the time when members decide to put stuff on ebay because it doesn't sell on the forum, then they post the link if anyone is still interested, what else are they supposed to do?

Post an asking price if it's on this forum.

He did, in the thread he said he'd end the auction early for you for $350, is that what you wanted?

If that's your frame of mind at least HALF of the sales that go on this forum wouldn't be allowed to be posted because of being on Ebay. That's just retarded, it's ebay and he's posting a link, deal with it.

Yes, that's what I wanted and I feel you are drastically over stating the number of sales that go on in this forum with links to ebay.

I certainly can deal with it, but it would be best to also state an asking price.

I'd like to hear from the moderators on what is proper protocol when posting links to auctions.

There are many posts that help the enthusiasts and are breaches of forum rules. I don't go off on people that have a hundred injector rebuilding kits and would be considered dealers by the forum rules. They benefit the enthusiasts and provide a product at a reasonable price.

What I find frustrating is wasting my time trying to find out what is the asking price because it isn't stated in the FS thread and I'm seeing more and more posters omitting the asking price or doing the "make offer" bit.

QUIT YOUR BITCHING!

If someone says to make an offer and you want the stuff MAKE THEM AN OFFER! It is so simple. I sell a lot of stuff, and most of it I don't really have a specific ammount that I would like to get out of it. If I say to make me an offer on something and you make a reasonable offer I will take it. the same goes for everyone that says "Make me an offer".

You don't like it, don't buy it or post. It's as simple as that. It's pathetic at how pissy people get about something they can just ignore and move on to the next. And this is why I quit moderating the classified section, too many damn whiners.

Ok, I'll jump in. I too find it irritating that you advertise an item for sale with no price. YOUR the SELLER. You want to sell on this forum yet the rules that are clearly stated do not apply to you for some reason???

I have noticed a lot of none posted prices as well.......AND an ebay aution has a price. I can click the link and see the price or where the bidding is instanly....that is not the complaint.

Flame suite activated........flame suit activated........please lower your head between your legs adn kiss your *** goodbye

So you're saying it's ok if I post Starting bid: $1, Reserve: $200, 3 days to the highest bidder! Isn't that what the whole stupid thing of posting a price was meant to PREVENT?

i just dont see why its so important to list a price, honestly when i sell something, im more worried about not throwing the part in the garbage than i am about how much i get for it. if there is no price, send a pm and lowball em, the worst that will happen is they say no, but you may get your part cheaper than expected.

No if its on ebay....your just linking to the auction for convenience. Every body knows how ebay works.

If your posting things here its just quick and easy for the buyer to see where you are at. It's like a car lot that has no prices on the cars. The price is determined by how stupid you appear to be. IS that the game we want to play??? I don't make up the rules...I just play by them. Let me know ahead of time what the rules are and I'll adjust accordingly.

Damn, I feel like I stepped into the DoO!!!

You're on the wrong forum if you think rules are enforced effectively! LOL, Just look at Batman and YZF and etc,

But whatever, I suggest just starting all threads with a $8000 min asking price for everything OBO and go from there.

oh c'mon. I don't feel that strongly about it. Just my .02 for what its worth.

AS a buyer of:
Wheels/tires
Radio
exhaust

I click on the link and if the starting price is too high or non existant I click right back out. If the price is reasonable I start talking to the seller. RIGHT NOW I am in negotiations for FD wheels with Tires. FC Wheels and tires. A true Dual exhaust system and I am looking for a radio.....I am an serious buyer with money to spend right now. YOU as a seller just got an insight into how my buying mind works. Take advantage of the knowledge.

I'm arguing for the sake of being bored, not much else. LOL.

I, as a seller, HATE trying to find the 'going' market value of various things I have laying around, thus, I HATE providing an asking price, it's a waste of my time usually, but *shrug* I never let it bother me when people whine about it, and I don't mind much if they don't bother with it either hehe. Oh well... Enough post whoring for me!
