What prompted the rearrangement of the format in the first place?

 

Spring cleaning, obviously.

 

**** leave the ******* forum alone......put it back to what it was back in 2001 and leave it......no need for rearranging, all your doing is pissing off people

C'mon, guys? What the hell is everyone's problem? The only thing that's gone downhill is the knowledge of the average user.

While the rearrangement of sections is a minor annoyance, you'll get used to it. Man up, and shut up.

 

Cool3865, I can see why you are pissed. All of your posts excluding maybe 10 are all in the lounge. Now you have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the screen to find the lounge.


Last time I looked it said, "RX-7 Club", not " Lounge Club".

On a more positive note;

I believe the majority of people come here because of their cars. So the specific tech sections are a priority over topics such as the lounge,general automotive, etc....

The paying vendors get priority when they have a sub forum because they are "Paying" for those forums. They in turn are helping to pay the bills to run this site.


I believe that if members truly want to make this Club better. Then focus on what this Club was started for and is about. Helping others with their cars. Educate others to help others about their cars.

 

This is precisely what my post was about though. I haven't made many posts in the tech sections because most everything I've needed has been easily found with a search. However, I see lots of people who are being less than friendly or helpful to new or newer members trying to find the information they're looking for on the site.

Nobody should be expected to hold someone's hand and walk them through the most basic of procedures, but when someone searches and asks a decently posed question it's counter-productive to the club to be itchy with your "STFU, Search & RTFM Noob" button finger.

 

Talk about unfriendly, there is a thread that some members post in with anything they consider to be a stupid question or thread. Granted there are some lazy people out there, but taking the time to link to a thread rather than taking the time to either answer the question or point them in the right direction is down right grade school mentality.....again the bully thing.

 

I beg to differ.....as much as there is alot of junk on this site. There is also alot of informative stuff as well. Thanks to this site ive learned soo much bout rx-7s that its unbelievable. Even my mom ask me how i know this stuff and i explain it to her. She is amazed. sooo although you feel its going to crap....do what i do....ignore the stupid stuff.
