D.I.Y. Section

Being a new to the forum, what I like to see is a D.I.Y. Section for each generation more like on the RX8 club.com D.I.Y. Section. I realize there are some D.I.Y. threads scattered among the many forum sections but just to organize them into a special section would make searching a lot easier.

I'm not seeing the point when you can simply input the problem you have into the search engine and have many threads tell you how to fix your specific problem for that day. Doing that, you'll run into the vain souls who post step-by-step threads on fixing RX-7 maladies.

I oughtta know, I'm one of them.

They are owned by the same company and have some common members but they aren't run the same because RX-7 Club is older by many more years and had its practices and "traditions" established first. There's a lot of resistance to "new" as a result.

edit: I followed the link and that works wonderful if you only deal with one kind of car...having 4 separate DIY boards would be a mess, IMHO. We barely stay ahead of the Classifieds and New Member threads coming in, as it is.

The 1stgen crew are almost proud of it...you have to look hard at the rotary meets to find an SA/FB that's all one color or sporting a fresh paint job...

I agree, too many people automatically hit the "New Thread" button instead of learning to go to "Search" instead. As a result this forum has way too many duplicate threads. Nobody wants to see the same questions over and over, posted as new threads, even within the same page. Just because someone is too lazy to search first is no reason to waste all the other members' time in sorting through duplicate new threads.

The last thing rx7club.com needs is another "white smoke - helpz a sad pandaz" or "show me your 8 degrees of camber pics!!!11!1! - hate me!! hahaha11!1!!!" or "what shade of pink should I paint my non-running Rx7?" thread.
