Come on Collin... you post crap in the tech sections and it will be cleaned up.
If you are going to post crap do it in the BAW thread in the lounge, where the rest of the BAW group can find it.

Hey, we had one tangent in the tailpipe thread.... the OP even made a post referring to it which was not deleted. I feel as if you guys are watching my posts, and deleting anything that is not exactly what you want me to post.
I had one post which was half in Spanish, but WAS absolutely related to the technical issue at hand. I can't find it now, because Aaron Cake deleted it.
also, the "I suck at reading comprehension post" was originally a post asking whether you meant the Japanese GT model was a non-turbo, but I realized after posting that you had, in fact, addressed that in your post. As such, I edited it to kindly ask you to delete it. That does not constitute posting crap, but rather making seemingly inquisitive posts, which I ask to have deleted upon realizing that it was already answered.

Icemark is right, but Mark, you don't need to be quite that degrading. It's a bad habit.
Collin, you'll need to get used to stuff getting deleted that really has no relevance. The Mods erratically clean up threads to remove the bullshit...which shortens them and makes them more to the point.
All that said, both of you shu-shoosh!

What members seem to forget is the fact that the more cluttered a tech thread is the harder it is to find the information that you are looking for.
It's ok to have some ribbing going on in a thread but after it is seen and all is done it is the decision of the mods in that section to clean up the threads for future reference.
I've seen tech threads where a member will see one of their buddies post in the thread then they start carrying on a conversation between them. That is what the pm function is for.
The point is that the tech section is to post relevant information about the topic so that it helps the thread starter and hopefully will be good information for others in the future.
As far as posting in another language in a thread, it does not belong in that thread unless it is in a specific ethnic forum.
In the end I personally feel that a lot of threads as a whole after the question has been addressed should be deleted when the topic has already been covered many times. The more threads that are left uncleaned or in their entirety just makes the search function all that more difficult.

I would have replied to this sooner if I had seen it.
Anyone who is under the impression that irrelevant discussion doesn't negatively effect a thread should go over to the RX-8 Club and try to read a few of their technical threads. A few posts of great information, then 3 pages of random conversation, then another page of info, then another two pages of insults, etc. It's maddening. Makes searching for stuff a real pain in the butt.
