Its that time again!

Im opening the door to suggestions of the 2006 Winter Beat Meet Calgary. This has become an age old tradition of Rotary Owners all over calgary!

With the warming weather, I have heard the call in the wind! Bring your cars, Pictures, Models (like nubian) or Ideas for future projects! Come one, Come All!

I'd like to open suggestioins and suggest Sunday the 29th of January (this sunday) as the weather looks like its going to be astoundingly good all week.

Say 1PM at A&W like the last meet?


Any suggestions? I intend to bring my 7, as its my winter beater and soon to be only motor vehicle in my collection.

I would also like to note that in 2 years, this is the first meet I've accually brought an RX-7.

 

If we actually get any snow this year it would be a great challenge. Otherwise, we might end up doing a regular auto-x type of thing. Depending on the time, I might bring out my DD T-bird. Kick all your asses out there.

I suggest we move it to the weekend after superbowl. Gives us more time to prepare and spread the word.

i vote for sometime in feb... cuz my 1st gen is out, and hopefully i'll be getting a 2nd gen sometime this week or the next, and i've never been to a meet, so i would like to come to this one.

 

Thats 2 for second week of februrary.

 

If there's a meet, I'll be driving my Jeep or a rental. (My Jeep is currently in the body shop because some jackass threw a cinder block through the rear window)

By the way, I'm going to be building a house and will need a secure place to store my car from, say, April through September. If anyone knows of such a place, please PM me.

i've seen people driving the're nice cars still. me, my beater is my 7... so yeah.. but yeah, i think feb is a good time... but not the 4th... stupid work.. but yeah, how about the 11th? and where are we gonna do this?

Anyone up for a Clutch Burning competition? I was going to say burn out, but when I tried a brake-stand earlier, I accomplished vast quantities of smoke, but none was enduced by wheelspin.

 

Id love to help you out but my clutch doesnt know what the word slip is...

Thats the point of a winter beater meet. We get together and shoot the ****. Passes the time between now and the big May meet.
