Angry why the hell it a problem to get fittings here in ontario?

Well I am just fustrated, any time I need to get a fitting, BSPT NPT etc. its an issue you just cannot run into a store and get ne NPT is easier to find, but BSPT well forget it .

I've have tried cisco industrial, aklands, cdn tire, homedepot, nitro industrial, brafasco (useless) mom and pops i am convinced that they do not stock these in canada.

But why?

Flea bay saves the day as even though I get raped with shipping abd brokerage fees

Go to a place that deals with hydraulic fittings, seems to be the place. That's where I found my BPST and NPT and T-fittings to put in my oil pressure sensor in my truck.

You could try Cummins Hydraulics in Newmarket. They made me a nice set of custom oil cooler hoses. Not sure if they carry what you are looking for. Call them.

Anywhere that sells Parker hydraulic fittings should be able to get the fitting you need. Parker makes just about any fitting you would ever need. I deal with them all the time at work and could probably even look up the part number for the fitting you need if I had the size. As mentioned, most hydraulic supply shops should be able to get you the fitting you need.

What are you using BSPT fittings for?

Cummins Hydraulics in Newmarket is the best place for odd ball fittings, but Ken is right Princess does have some stuff. They have come through for me before in a pinch.

You may also want to check Earls or Aeroquip as well if this is a fitting your trying to covert to AN. They have some odd ***** but not many.

Andrew.

I hear your pain. You go to half dozen stores and the guys there don't know what you are talking about. And then they ask 'why do you want to do that???'

Instead, they should say, 'we don't have it, but check that industrial supply store around the corner'. I appreciate helpful people. That's what you find at speciality shops. For odd ball stuff, the big box stores are useless.

And don't get me going on brokerage fees...I refuse to pay that.
