isn't the guy who runs RX Tuner on this site? i read something a while ago about the creator having a heart attack or something and not putting out issues. and now what is this crap about his laptop getting stolen? is that their latest clever excuse for not delivering issues?

someone needs to inform him to view this thread IMMEDIATLY!
i think he needs to break out his checkbook and start refunding money!!!

it seems to me like its "Boostd 7" from what he said on the first page and the numerous other "where is my mag threads" that are out there. just search rxtuner theres a 27 page thread out there on this exact issue with nothing being resolved.

he does need to get in here and give us some up to date info.

last post "real customer service is about to start" posted feb 9,2005

it think they forgot to implement that.

One of the two people who run the magazine is the Owner/Webmaster/Head Admin here at the forum. He posted on Page 1. BOOSTD7. He's a great guy, just not lucky in business I guess. It isn't like it's his job to put the stickers on the magazines and put them in the mailbox... But still...

What's unfortunate is , it's a better mag, (content and variety wise), then some of the 'well funded ' rags out there. Seems like it'
s just pissing away due to neglect? management issues? one person trying to do 5 jobs? Who knows but I'm sure that if he put out a call on this board for people who have done some form of periodical or mailing or even management of a newspaper in some form.. he get it willingly and probably at next to no charge, just to get the mag off the ground again. I also can't imaging jumping headlong into something like this without some form of prior knowledge, or at very least a very close mentor to work with..

I haven't received any issues for maybe 8-9 months now. I've been meaning to call, but have not got around to it yet....

I really enjoy the magazine but nothing else seems to have the shipping issues that RXTuner is experiencing and it's a little frustrating.

yeah, it's crazy. But so am I. Here's hoping for a better new year, I just filled my first subscription (I know, seems like a bad idea with what everybody else has been saying, but I couldn't resist). I don't expect anything from it, but I'm keeping a log of dates. We'll see what happens.

My fifth time calling. Again they promised to get me an issue or blabbed about mailing me another one. I laughed and said I have been told this for 10 months every month and I asked if this magazine exists. She mumbled something and hung up.

I can't believe this. At worst how hard would it be to mail some sort of letter to the customers stating the problems and an apology. The poor girl that works there must be going crazy with all the phone calls and bullshit!!

There customer service sucks. They kept on telling me they would send out my issues, but I never got them. The guys that supposedly put out the mag and are on the forum won't do a dam thing.

Check out Chapters in Guelph ON... I was there today, but they still have the "FD Double Feature Issue" that's been out for ages. So does anyone know if the US subscribers are having any of the same problems?

hard to enjoy a magazine your paying for an not getting?? And I think more people are pissed at the customer service then the actual content of the magazine.

I think I will give RXtuner few more months. Just because we know the people that put this magazine together is not trying to rip us off. But it will be best Peter, Ryan or Brian tell us What is the status with RXtuner magazine?

GentlemenVII, that is a direct attack on the people posting legitimate concerns in this thread. You don't see people yelling (in caps) "*******" anything else do you? Consider this your warning. We all know how little money they have and are (or rather aren't) making off the magazine. We also know that we aern't getting our magazines for months, if ever. The very rare times you manage to find them in stores, you grab them, but when you've gotten the last three issues from a store and you haven't received a single issue from the subscription you paid for, it's out of control.

One more outburst like that and you'll take a week long vacation. Check your attitude and vulgarity at the door, dude.

Why does everyone assume that this forum and the rxtuner magazine are non-profit ventures? They are only non-profit as long as they lose money but it is clear from my time here that this is a for-profit venture. Why else would you have people fighting over ownership etc.?

If I am wrong and this is a burdensome charitable venture exercise for the owners then why not hand it down to someone else to run?

The RXtuner mag makes it to my local book store without fail every issue. There is no excuse for it to not make it to paid subscribers.

People shouldn't have to sugercoat there feelings about losing money. It is great that they started a magazine but the way that they treat their customers destroys any good faith owed to them.

I agree - I don't believe it can be said that either RX Tuner mag OR this website are non-profit...I mean HELLO has anyone noticed the BIG FREAKIN BANNERS at the top of the screen...yeah? good. Well did you happen to notice that they have progressed into actual ads (cingular, us army, etc.) instead of pure rotary stuff?

WHY?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ - simple

GentlemenVII - I don't know where you got your information from - but its wrong.

and even if it IS a charitable thing they are doing...they're doing a terrible job at it - look at it this way, if you donated $500 to the children's cancer society and they failed to get your recipet for your chairitable donation - you would be right pissed off (justly so) so why are you bothering to make the whiny and piddly excuse of their work being chairitable? does that mean if you work for charity you can do a shitty job and get away with it? no, not at all

In short - grow a back bone and don't let their excuses deturr you from seeing the fact that they are doing a POOR job at running their mag.

Guys, if you want support for the magazine, use the support channels we've setup

- 866-RX-TUNER for phone support
- The support forum at www.rxtuner.com
- my email (ryan@rxtuner.com) brian's email (brian@rxtuner.com)

But don't post here thinking I'm going to find it. If you want support, do it the right way ... if you're just complaining, than we'll delete the thread.
